The 'Mitsubishi Heavy Industry' air-conds were the ones that used to come out best in Choice testing.
Heavy Industry is what gets put in MCC installations and critical industrial applications… better quality and better chance of getting spare parts down the road… I put five units in my house two years ago and they haven't missed a beat.

That's not the correct model, it's the SET DXK24Z4-S. Based on the MHIAA website, they seem to only differ in that the SRK includes 'Three "Hot" System' (hard to work out since there doesn't seem to be a DXK brochure).

Yes, but it's far more powerful than what's required for a bedroom. This is suitable for living spaces. You'll get one for under 1k that will be fine for a bedroom.
