  • $108 at Officeworks. Me smells a price match.

Hard to get excited about this one when it was $79 a few weeks ago at DSE and $63 a few days ago at HN:

The $63 one from HN was an older model the box is difference.

      • What's different on the box?

        • this one is a little smaller and is priced at 137 according to it's sticker at HN

        • Yes the box is a lot bigger and some yellow colour and even the hard disk itself looks difference, rounder edge, etc.

BTW, what hard disk inside this model? Is it a 7200RPM or like the $63 one is 5900.

I bought one like 6 months ago with OW price match for $75, They should be getting cheaper!

    $63 a few days ago http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/120033

usually ~79 when DS have them on special

ok if your desperate and missed out on the good specials but not really a very exciting bargain imo.

    Possible price match in OW?

    • 100% sure you can before they change their price.

    • OW does the price match with other stores as long as they have a physical store in Australia within a metropolitan area.

Still a good price if you're willing to open it and use it as a very fast internal drive without the warranty instead of paying $95 at MSY :)

    • This.

And on that, I have a couple of spare USB3 external HDD cases if anybody is looking for some…

I love how HDD prices of all brands skyrocketed when the natural disaster affected mainly a factory of ONE of the brands (WD).

This was 2 years ago and the price still hasn't gone lower than it was.

    • I have 2 x Samsung 2TB external usb 2 drives I bought a couple of years ago for approx $150 each. One is still intact and is attached to a router and used as a cheap network drive. The other is inside this computer. Both drives haven't missed a beat!

  • I bought this a couple of months ago at OW for normal price of $89. I guess it went up in price for some reason?

If you are going to pull it apart this one looks cheaper
