I was a member earlier in the year and it cost about $10 per week.
I got an opening special in Adelaide,
It was $10.95p.w (first 500 people only) billed in 2 week cycles, (ongoing $10.95)
$30 for card,
After the opening special people are paying $12.95 with no joining fee,
I believe now they are charging a joining fee, and possibly more than $12.95
The thing I dont like about them, They claim No contract…
but if you wish to cancel, You must pay an additional month from then, to me thats a 30day contract
(so you cant go in 2days before your due to pay and cancel, you must pay another 30days from then)
As A FIFO worker on a 3n3 roster,
I wanted to sign up one month,
and loose a week,
then not pay for 2 weeks,
then pay a months, as to me "No contract" means I could pay on a month by month basis as I wish,
But this is not the case,
If I wanted to get a membership that I could Suspend, It would be $15.95 p.m and have to pay 3 months up front…
My gym is similar (Plus Fitness 24/7).
They process all the direct debit payments through a dodgy third party. That is partially why it takes my gym 30 days to stop the membership.
Also suspending the membership is painful too — you are required to give them several days notice and then you can only suspend it in multiples of two weeks starting from your fortnightly billing date.
Was wondering how much it cost for the next month?
And about the swipe key, is it refundable?
