Crush The Candy Strategy Guide for Candy Crush $18.86 ($10 off)

45

Was looking up Candy Crush secrets and cheats, and came across this website. Went to exit the site, and it gave me this page:

http://www.crushthecandy.com/specialoffer.html

But it is no longer popping up to all site visitors. You can still purchase it though, directly through that link.

    $17..

    Free cheats http://leethax.net

Even still, if you feel you need to cheat.. what's the point in playing?

This is a strategy guide, not cheats…

Should I go and neg all the deals on Windows 8.1 atm - you can download linux for free after all. Even if you need windows you can get XP and 7 for next to nothing through various dreamspark premium memberships, or grab a torrent. /sarcasm

Why on earth neg it? have you found a better price on kindle for THE SAME BOOK?
Shall we neg deals on engineering textbooks because I can buy a different textbook, or get info of wikipedia?
How about negging a deal on Harry potter books - there is so much fanfic free to read.

It seems pretty damn harsh to neg a deal purely on the concept of it being a strategy guidebook - something which has been made and sold for pretty much every game ever to see success. Esp given yo have no idea what is in it. Does the author not have the right to be paid for their work?

    • Also just noticed there is a 60 day satisfaction guarantee, so there would have to be something worth selling or people would be constantly reversing the transactions with paypal or their bank.

It is also about avoiding paying a fortune to the money grubbing creators of candy crush so i utterly approve of that sort of cheating lol - 20c a life??? Stuff that, glad I have never played the rotten thing. Even getting unlimited lives sounds like it might be worth it if you are a player.

If you are REALLY a cheapskate you can just buy it, use it for a month or copy all you need, and then get your money back, the company selling it, Clickbank, seems to be too large to risk ripping people off on a guarantee

      • The 60 day things is a fixed requirement of Clickbank, the system they are using to track affiliates/sales/taxes etc.

If you have a Clickbank affiliate account you can always buy through your own link and get 75% back …

Water from the tap is virtually free, yet people still buy bottled water..

      • +8

Just because people buy it, that doesn't mean that discounted bottled tap water is a good deal.

  • +3

Lol @ paying for cheats to a computer game.

    • -2

LOL @ people who can't read and think "strategy guide" = "cheats".

why would you ever pay to cheat?

    • -1

      Who said anything about cheating?

      It is a strategy guide…

  • +2

    are you serious?

  • -3

    Nice deal.

It is a strategy guide - not just cheats

Just because a particular item doesn't float your boat, it's no reason to neg.

    Thanks OP.

There are craploads of free strategy guides on the internet. When something equivalent can be found for free, a deal to pay $17 for it is worthy of negging.

  • +3

Paying for a guide to a free game is not the way of OzBargainer.

  • In respect to the op's hardwork for finding this, could we please move this to the forum?

It might be useful for candy crush addicts among ozbargainer here….

Personally, I cant stand anymore of candy crush references outside fb

  • +1

18 bucks can buy alot of lollipops!!!

That's a better way to spend the money.

Is OP for real though? Paying for strategy guides?

Hmmm. Same website designs (Just look at the checkout when you click add to cart). Same server. Both domains registered at Namecheap.

    http://who.is/whois/gta5plus.com

    • Not surprising - there have always been publishing houses that specialised in game guides - just walk into your local gaming store and you will see dozens. Seems only logical that a concept as old as video games should move to being sold online just as the games themselves have.
You have always been able to trade tips on games and people sent cheats round as faxes or on bulletin boards, but it has never meant the game guide market died

The part that is surprising is that the OP posted both deals, and yet claims "Was looking up Candy Crush secrets and cheats, and came across this website. Went to exit the site, and it gave me this page". Mighty convenient that he managed to luck upon two sites made exactly the same when searching for guides.

I'm beginning to think that the sockpuppeting claims from earlier might actually be true.
