Your example is a little confusing.
You are comparing 1X3 pack vs 4X4 pack. So to make it easier to compare, the true prices are that Target is $2.33 per sock and Bonds is $2.81 per sock.
Plus with Target you can choose colors etc and buy less and can save on delivery if you pick up.
BUT also to be fair on other items Bonds online store is cheaper Football training socks at 50c a pair.
Like all deals you need to check out competitive prices rather than accepting headline rates. The socks you quoted were listed as "hot price" at the outlet not a 80% off etc price so that item may not be marked down as much as the other sale items
Bonds is just cashing on its name.

plus they moved the factory to China, sacked all aussie workers and kept the same price.
