    Are these compatible with Updog?

    • +6

      Please elaborate on this "updog"

      • +1

He's asking if he can use them while doing Yoga… Updog is a Yoga position, the opposite of Downdog.

  • Why people like to put the $ at the back or put AUD?

    • +1

left handed people can sometimes get confused ?ok

    • +1

I generally say "AUD" when there are multiple currencies involved and further clarity is needed, or if I'm converting into AUD from another currency.

    How this a bargain ?
I think it was $22 HN few weeks ago

    • I think that was Downtown.

Edit: never mind, got it wrong…

    • +3

Still a bargain. $22 was just a freak clearance price from HN. $59 is a great price for these good quality headphones, although yes these do appear on eBay for this price once in a while (like this deal).

      • +2

Yea $22 was a freak clearance. $60 is still a good deal but the Uptowns have a thin and crappy cable and the inline remote is also horrible.

        They sound very nice though.

        • Unless you want bass, these have no bass what so ever. I play some of my bass heavy songs and its just too quiet, no thump or boom. Other genres is good though, I bought these from this ebay buyer last time for $60 no free headphones :(

Plus $60 is this guys normal price, not once in a while. Its been $60 for quite sometime now

  • These cans have balance issues due to the cheap inline volume adjuster.

Lots of bass, not a lot else in terms of sQ. Comfy.

If you don't need closed cans, the Panasonic RP-HTF600's are a much better sounding can

  • I'm looking for some cheap-ish headphones, but see conflicting feedback above - HTID09 says no bass, noone025 says lots of bass. Opposite ends of the spectrum!

  • +2

Definitely no bass, go read some reviews. I read quite a few before buying and the general consensus was that they have weak bass. If you listen to dubstep then you'll be very disappointed, I have a few dubstep songs and its missing the thump. An example is the song Radioactive - Imagine Dragons, this song has heavy bass thumping parts that you wont hear on these cans. Also these are very quiet headphones, some songs I put it all the way to 100% max volume and its still very quiet. I find myself listening to most songs at 85-90% volume. PS the volume slider is a joke, just use the one on your phone/mp3 player

Softest padding I've ever felt and has a very good music seal, once its on your head the person next to you wont hear anything. Its good for mids and highs but no bass imo. Dont feel like you need to buy this now or you'll miss out, this ebay seller has these for $60 as a normal price. I bought these at the beginning of the year for $60, was just casually on Ebay and from that day till now they are still $60. Just saying

    • Thanks for the detailed comments… I'm not a basshead, but am looking for some 'excitement' in my next pair of headphones (as opposed to neutral/accurate sound). Will keep looking.

      yeah, like mine on head-fi…
I don't get how you say no bass, I have bass-heavy headphones, I like bass heavy cans, these are bass heavy cans… Whatevs…

What are you comparing them to?

    • I got the Downtowns (on ear) instead of Uptowns (over ear) from the $22 sale, there is plenty of bass & they sound very good overall. There not quiet headphones, unless you use the additional adapter that you get (which is for mobile phones) for some reason the adapter drops the volume by a fair amount. Get the Downtowns, it doesn't have the dodgy volume control.

    • I agree that they are pretty weak on bass, and def need an amp/dac to make these sound better.

Also using them on different phones makes a big difference. I used them on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and they were very quiet; I had to turn it up to max volume. Then I grabbed an old iPhone 3GS (Don't know how they compare to the other iPhones), but it sounded much better.
