Fantastic Furniture's Latex Indulgence Pillow Top Queen Mattress $999

10

$999 for the queen mattress, $1299 for the ensemble.

Went also to Snooze, HN etc but this mattress in FF looks interesting. Has natural latex laid on pocket coils with foam. Was very comfortable to lie on and had minimal partner movement feel.

The store person said FF will cover any sagging in foam or springs for full 10 years. And we don't need to keep a receipt as FF maintains the purchase record on their system. Neither do we have to go a third party manufacturer.

My image of FF is not in harmony with long lasting quality furnishing, so wondering if anyone has had an experience with this mattress?

is this a bargain, or are you looking for advice if this is a good deal?

    • Seemed like a bargain to me at the time as it was very comfortable. Similar mattresses were around $1500+ elsewhere.

  • Doesn't appear to be anything special.

A quick Google search and one comes up with the below for $1199 as an ensemble -
    https://www.bedworks.com.au/beds/posture-indulgence-soft-lat…

    • That is $1199+$300 = $1499 for a queen ensemble. Plus at least $200 for delivery to non-sydney siders.

  • wonder if we can slap this on the cheap IKEA base?

warning - not 100% latex, but a combination of springs, latex and foam :(

    for 100% latex - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/116271#comment-1590342 :)

I would never use the words "Fantastic Furniture" and "Bargain" in the same sentence. Their stuff is rubbish.

  • I bought a Sealy queen ensemble with a 10 year warranty for around $1100 from David Jones in a recent sale. I'd recommend the Sealy over Fantastic Furniture any day.

Normal price, no special offer here. Fantastic Furniture do not sell bargains, just cheap rubbish. They're the 2 Dollar Shop of furniture. Even the OP admits they sell crap. Would need to be <$300 to be a bargain from them.

  • With all respect to a few of the posters who mentioned crap, rubbish and not long lasting is that based on personal experience? To give some background on me, our home has a mix of Ikea, Freedom and Fantastic Furniture. From Fantastic is our mattress, coffee table, sofa and tv unit. Had them all for 7 years now with no issues at all. I'm looking for a replacement mattress now as 7 years is probably a good time for any mattress and have no reason to go anywhere else, theyre all made in australia, the more expensive ones have 10 year warranties and my sense is they are eveyrthing the Sealys of the world have just not the brand label or the price tag! btw the furniture from Freedom and Ikea has also lasted well. I believe most furniture stores except for a few (I've had bad experiences with Super amart) have the same quality, its design, colour and choice that is the difference and up to your own style. Hope this helps
