  • Good Find!

  • Wow, too bad I just brought a Westone 3 not too long ago..

    • +4

You're a hell of a lot better of with your westones anyway, sony does but out some good audio gear but IEM's along with their speakers and av recievers are shit.

There's a reason why the XBA 4 has been heavily discounted and replaced with the XBA 40. It was essentially a flop for them and way overpriced for what Sony originally asked for them.

$100 for them is still very good value though, but these are a clear example of more drivers don't always give you better sound quality.

    +1 for best current price
If you can wait, history might repeat itself
It has been $80 in the past

I jumped pretty quickly on that deal myself, but I wouldn't count on it being repeated. The stocks of these have been cleared out by a few retailers now, since it's been superseded by the XBA-40, and there probably aren't too many of these around anymore. Also, most retailers would probably want to sell these for a bit more than $75; eSold sold out very quickly at that price point, and they probably could've charged more with that level of demand.

  • I'm looking for a decent one with an in-line mic & controls…

  • -1

Tempted, but no mic no deal

  • How is the noise isolation on this thing - any good?

  • +1

    damn it couldn't resist..

  • Actually needed new earphones after 1 side died on my current audio technicas, great timing thanks for the deal.

  • maybe I'll jump on these, missed out on the Logitech superfi 10, which got cancelled

I've been burnt by Centrecom before, when they couldn't fulfil items that were listed as being "in stock" on their website. They then proceeded to ignore my emails and took over a month to refund my money. Hopefully they actually have enough stock of this and their website tracks their inventory a bit better…

EDIT: Sure enough, their inventory tracking still sucks. Says "in stock" on the product page, but "sold out" on their Top 100 page: http://www.centrecom.com.au/top100

Revoking my positive because of Centrecom shenanigans.

  • I picked up a set in the eSold deal. Love em. Very tempted to get a spare set.

  • On this page, it is showing the deal is sold out:
    http://www.centrecom.com.au/top100

  • yeah sold out already =(

  • Anyone got a pair of spares they want to sell to me?

  • Phew sold out before I could seriously consider getting them. I didn't need a 4th iem but I know I would had got it anyway.

  • things only make it to the front page when they're all sold out!!!

  • bugger, just missed again!

  • they say available for 279

  • Great price, I picked up my XBA3s for $99 and have not regretted it one bit.
