Sennheiser Amperior $199 (Silver) \ $219 (Blue) @ StoreDJ

40

Cracker deal being offered at StoreDJ on the Senn's Amperior which are a revised edition of the HD-25 II.

Store DJ has just secured the remaining Australian stock of the limited edition Sennheiser HD25 Amperior headphones and they are now on sale for just $199 (Silver Edition).

These headphones have the same design as the original HD25's but feature silver or blue aluminium earcups plus mic and remote control for iPhone. Just like the original HD25's, all the parts of the Amperior are replaceable, such as the cable and ear pads.

Unlike previous deals this time the Blue edition is being offered albeit for slightly more.

    Put RRP price in title.

Overall, this price is about 40% cheaper than normal. But beware, there is a small catch. If you are using these on the road, DJing or anything that means you will be moving a lot, these do not come with a coiled cable like most professional headphones. To buy the coiled costs an additional $89.

  • This has been on eBay for this price for some time and were at jb for $159 not long ago.

The $159 deal is linked in OP. As for eBay I can't see anyone else (except StoreDJ) selling them for a similar price on eBay, at least locally.

  • I have the HD-25 1 II,

How do these compare, can't find anything on the net.

I know its stated by the op, but just to be clear,

    Are these upgraded versions of;
    HD-25 II
    or
    HD-25 1 II

I'm trying to be clear, because its recommended price of $400, makes it sound like it would be better than the HD-25 1 II

    • They are better, see the Inner Fidelity article linked in the OP that is exactly about answering your question.

      • my bad, guess i scrolled past the reviews part

  • Choose the amperiors over the HD 25 II if you are choosing to use a portable MP3 as it does not require an amp due to its lower impedance.

    I knew I should've pounced on the JBHifi $160 deal :(
HD25 Aluminium edition [HD25 II original drivers, so higher impedance + Amperior Aluminum Earcups] are coming up by the way, but at the full RRP >=[ so around $300+

    • Yeah I was in Bali at the time so I have a good excuse :-D

  • Damn I didnt even see that deal (159$ awesome price!!!) as it never got up to 20 positives :(, I gotta start searching through all the deals again i suppose. I was being lazy and was only looking at the ones ozbargain shows after it gets 20 +s.

You can use it (well a similar one) to filter for anything in particular you are interested. Much more time efficient than following everything that gets posted (used to do that too but too time consuming).

      • Yeah I have been struggling with ozbargain like that, especially if i am away for a few days!!!, ITs like every day is equal to 3-4 pages and most if it is just complete junk and not many are at all interested in it. Some of it is just weekly stuff that i really dont see the point but anyway its not my call. So finally i decided i cant keep this up as it was taking too long so i started to only see the more "popular" deals but i knew i was missing out on some apps and some useful deals but i didnt imagine i will miss out on such a bargain as that deal for 159$, I dont get how that didnt get more likes when other rubbish gets so many likes.

        • Yeah agree not all amazing deals get many votes. Check out IFTTT to help deal (pun not intended) with this!

        • Actually I never even saw the Amperiors for $160! I would've definitely pounced on them…
I saw the $199 price @ JBhifi when they became discontinued, but not the $159 price D:

        • God damn, I just tried going through all the deals, took about 5-6 pages for the last 24 hours and like 20+ mins… How do people do this every day.

        • It starts as a thing and develops into an addiction. I'm glad uni made me tune it down much (although agreed I don't spot as many good deals these days).

  • I cant bring myself to purchase it at this price after knowing its been down to 159$ before… Is that the Ozbargain in me? ;). I wonder if it will drop again.

    • Definitely is :-D

I was sorry I didn't bite the $199 at JB Hi Fi last time so was a no brainer for me when it popped up again. Also the Blue version was never offered before close to this price (to my knowledge). It might be down to $159 in the future but keep in mind that those stocks sold now are presumably last stocks before the HD-25 aluminium addition gets stocked everywhere (less for more money) so take your chances accordingly.

The lowest HD-25 II were $150 from DJ Warehouse (thats where I got my pair from) so the $159 was definitely amazing but probably also definitely rare.

      • Yeah I got the HD 25 II for 150$ from DJ Warehouse at that time too, I really liked those headphones, hence why i was keen on getting this but feels like i am now paying 40$ too much :(. Bugger!!! So frustrated with how many crappy deals are posted these days on Ozbargain that i find myself missing out on the good ones.

Anyone know if that JB HI fI deal for 159$ was at all stores, I spoke to a couple of JB HI FI stores and they didnt seem to know about any deal like that which occured a couple of months ago. I am wondering if it was only at some stores.

JB Still have stock of those headphones although their price matching is exactly that, price matching, not like 5% cheaper etc.
