The 'overview' on both that page and DSE's is a bit misleading as it doesn't match the specs. For example, the overview describes the screen as Full HD, the specs say 1600x900. Overview suggests it has Blu-ray reader, specs say otherwise. Overview says 745M graphics, specs say 740M.
bit worrying isn't it when even the manufacturer can't even get the info 100% consistent correct.
According to Toshiba there are three types of P70 laptops
http://m.mytoshiba.com.au/products/computers/satellite/p70According to this guy, the A10D is not full HD. The A01C is FHD and comes with Bluray, the more premium model.
He starts talking about the screen at 3:00 mark

One thing missing and that is SSD storage
Does it come with blu-ray player?
5400 mhz hard drive, gotta be happy with that
= 324billion RPM - very cool
Now its $1,899, so it was $800 off, which is also similar to TGG or HN price
$900 off not $800 but $1,899 is RRP which no one pays.
So I pulled the trigger and bought one. I received the tracking number so it will be delivered today…
Further research has made me very happy. I want it for DSLR video editing - low-level doco work.
Intend to add an SSD in the spare bay and when/if I need FHD I can plug in an external monitor via the "HDMI® 4K2K output"…
