Does the key for Mafia II activate on Steam?
Mafia II is a steamworks game so it activates through Steam. So yes it does.
I assume so, I haven't received that key yet and I am at work so I can't add my game to steam at the moment :(

Ok apparently there is a Mac version even though the Gamefly page only specifies Microsoft Windows.
Actually yes, it does specify windows but I've redeemed it in steam and it is currently downloading and installing for mac. It appears under the mac games list in my library and is apparently ready to launch in 7 hours when I select play.
AFAIK all steam purchases are valid for all available platforms.

It will list Steamplay and have icons for the platforms it is available on, there are some exceptions like CoD:Black Ops 1 has a mac and windows version that are not steamplay

The name and address you entered on the billing details might be different from what's recorded on your credit card which may have triggered a security flag and so they're doing an order review.

Yeh, I just bought it for $15.99 (I'm guessing USD). Still a great price, I was almost going to buy this at EBgames for $46 yesterday. FYI: If you have the awesome Steam client installed already within steam click
+ADD A GAME….
Then click
—- Activate a product on Steam…
then copy'n'paste the Digital Key from Gamefly's email in to here.
Go through the final steps so that Steam downloads the actual game.
I just used it this morning to purchase an add-on to Bioshock Infinite and it was still valid. USD2.49 -> USD1.99. :)

Haven't received it.
Received email from Gamefly telling me to go and purchase Mafia 2 from their store and apply the 100% off coupon code. Once done, key will be emailed separately.
Did that, now order is under review :(
Got mine early this afternoon, had no problems getting my key. All i did was login, selected mafia 2, went to checkout and selected the free coupon, then they send my key. Unfortunately the key isn't for steam, i think it has to be downloaded using Gamefly's manager.
The key should work in Steam still…
