Just got this! I paid $88 yesterday, grrr..

    • yeah - but you have it now right? I'll give you a fiver if I can come over and play (and drink your beer and eat your snacks)

      • +6

geez what else do you want? a suck?

    • In the past, Rockstar have delayed the PC release by a few months. It will most likely happen.

      • I'm hoping the PC version has the video editor. I loved that so much.

    • +1

Obviously it will come out of PC. They like to maximize profits, why not let people buy 2 copies.

      • +2

Not that obvious. Where's my PC Red Dead Redemption? :(

        • Unlike RDR, all the previous GTA games were released on PC, and different Rockstar devs for the different games etcetc

will order tonight….IGN review 10/10 - Master piece

  • Awesome deal. Signed up, hopefully it's a go soon!

  • Location hongkong. Shipping time but cheap price vs 68.98 dicksmith local pick up

    • DSE has it for $79.98 on their website?

      • Had to pre-order for that, or 78 at Big W

        • Thanks

        • My friend bought one from DSE today and he said he didn't pre-order (DSE Victoria Garden, Melbourne)

  • +3

who cares where it comes from! All i need is cheap and this month! haha.

  • Ordered, thanks! Hopefully goes ahead. Great that it has a week to finish, lets me save up some cash.

  • Oh the buyers needed are dropping! haha…a deal soon…soon…sooner…

  • +2

  • GTA 5 - PS3 vs Xbox 360 Comparison: Grand Theft Auto 5
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRzac3XrTdM

    • No utoobz at work unfortunately, what is the general consensus?

      • +1

Looks like shadows and plants look slightly better on 360, textures are better on PS3, though honestly it's so minor that unless you had side-by-side comparisons you would never notice.

      • Xbox looks a little brighter, and the blood stain on the guys back is missing on the PS3 which is a little strange

Whats peoples thoughts on holding off until next gen console with gta, im probably gonna buy it but is it a waste buying the same game twice. Im in two minds. Still gotta finish gta 4, go Nico. Will the next gen have any more features besides graphics? Ozbargain is quicker than google for answers

    • +1

Not sure about next gen, heard nothing about it being released on either of the new consoles…a lot talk that it be released on PC sometime in the future like they did with GTA4.

Best bet…buy it for console you have now, it sounds and looks amazing (if sandbox-murder-sims are your thing)

      • +2

Just needed a small push. Cheers

    • IIRC Rockstar said they wont be releasing this on Next Gens (cbf finding a source though).

      • They must have something else in the pipelines

  • play-asia is $61~ shipped out in 24 hrs

    • +1

just checked play asia is out of stock :(

    • $63.40 from what I see.

  • anyone know what version this is? Asia, UK/EU, US?? does it say anywhere

  • It's probably worth mentioning that this deal is backed by Hong Kong-based operation Mariio128 who are also selling the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions for US$59.99 each through their (non-eBay) store. I've ordered from them in the past and, unfortunately, had issues with them on more than one occasion; things like missing pre-order DLC codes and wrongly shipped items.

In those cases customer service has been completely lax, bordering on non-existent. In fact, I've been chasing up an incorrect order now for three weeks without any response whatsoever.

For this particular deal: if the Atomic Blimp DLC code card is physically inside the case, you should be OK. If Mariio128 have received them separately and need to include them in the package and/or provide the code via email, you might be in for an unpleasant surprise.

I've bought a heap of stuff from Mario 128 (they've become my go to international retailer for preorders) and never had an issue. I find I tend to get their stuff quicker then Ozgameshop etc.

No comment on their customer service as I've never needed it.

Also via their website they charge $6 postage so the $60 price on their website is $60 delivered (can't check the site from work).

      • Used mario128 a few times, can highly recommend in my experience, I haven't bought games besides this one in over a year or so though so maybe they arnt as good now, but bough wwe12 off them with dlc on eBay, then because he promotes you to check out his website, i went on his site, seen he was promoting some extra dlc that was not included in his eBay listing, inboxed him, he gave me that and another dlc I was unaware of, although like most eBay sellers who sell a large amount I think he was more concerned about getting positive feedback so I had leverage.

      • Just thought I would comment here regarding his customer service. Sorry if it's a bit long.

Over the past few years, I have spent hundreds of $$ on games from him and was always happy. I have had two problems in the past though and needed customer service.

The first problem was when I bought three Xbox games and I was sent the PS3 versions instead. I contacted him and he posted out the Xbox versions straight away and trusted me to send back the PS3 versions. So I was very happy with that out come.

The second problem I had was not so good. I purchased another few Xbox games and made sure at the time of purchasing, that it stated on the product page of each game that it was PAL compatible. When I received the games, one of them did not work in PAL region. I went back to his site, and he had changed it to 'not compatible'.

I found a cached page of the item from about 10 days after my purchase which clearly showed that it originally said it was PAL compatible. I contacted him half a dozen times over the next few months and even opened a PayPal dispute. 6 months later, I randomly got a PayPal refund and still no message from him.

I guess it worked out OK in the end because I still have the game (even if I can't play it lol).

I'm not sure if I will use him again. If another seller has the game I want for only a few more $$ then I will give him a miss. Hope this helps.

    • I Just received mine today and the DLC was inside the shrink-wrapped box. No problems there!

    • -2

There's only 5 available, AND it costs more. Hardly a deal.

Why would anyone waste such a great game by playing it on sh!tty 8 year old hardware? It will be console gta4 all over again, average frame rate 25-28, 640p up scaled to 720p on the ps3 version, texture and object pop up the ying yang.

Wish more people would of held the line instead of folding to the hype, then the next gen and pc versions would have showed up sooner.

    • +2

you can wait for ps4.. 3-6 months if you like lol

  • What better this or pay-asia version?

Please set up Hong Kong (or any Region 3) PSN account to activate the online pass / DLC code… is anoying

    • They're both asian versions…

Playasia is back instock again and is actually cheaper if you use the 28degrees mastercard - $61.15

  • this is definitely PAL for xbox 360? Doesn't seem to say anywhere on the listing

    • +1

      doesn't matter it's region free

      • thanks, just discovered that (if only I googled before asking haha)

  • most probably HK version, would happily pay extra and get it from Kmart/ DSE

    • why pay $10-20 more for aus version?

      • Because you don't need to wait 2 weeks while hearing your friends rave about how great the game is.

  • +4

Theres really something wrong when everyone's purchasing offshore to get a better deal. These dollars could be supporting local jobs. We are never cheap…

    • +6

In the case of games I'm happy for more people to buy imports. People not buying locally is the only way the publishers may stop selling to us at unreasonable, exorbitant prices.

That said, I reckon I'll be picking up a copy for an extra 16 bucks tomorrow from a B&M store since I'm pretty keen to play this game.

    • Why would we buy from here when publishers think they can charge us stupid prices and we'll just swallow it? It's a global market now

    • Why waste my money on local jobs when I can get it cheaper overseas?

    • no reason to support archaic intermediaries in business, despite retailers being local

the money saved can be spent more efficiently on goods that public genuinely demand

  • Grand Theft Auto V Special Edition on PS3 and Xbox are available at play-asia for $87 good price!

  • ordered!

  • Phew ordered. Not sure if the activation code will work on aus region but ill be happy to get this price and play single player

  • GTA V Crew: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/114755

Also be careful with the PS3 version, you will need an Asian PSN account to activate DLC.

    • or you mean HK PSN?

    • What about the 360 version? DLC code work on an Aus Live account? How about multiplayer?

  • nit the bulet and bought from Bigw for $78.. just worth the extra bit to get aus version and in my hands NOW.

  • All sold out

    • Since the same seller is selling them through his own personal account for $60 with free shipping, I've updated the bargain.

  • +1

Mine arrived this morning, that was quick! Arrived within 5 days to Adelaide.

  • Mine Arrived today in Melbourne. I guess most people would be getting theirs today if not soone.

Some people were worried about the DLC - it was included in the box.

Now, Off to spend the next week in front of the TV, work be damned!

  • Mine arrived yesterday, very fast! It also came with a LostDog iPhone 5 case for some reason, its pink though :/

  • Haven't seen mine yet…were they delivered via standard Aus Post mail?

  • Hi Guys!
How long did postage take to Sydney?

  • mine arrived just then, DLC was inside the game case

  • Mine still hasn't arrived (Sydney). Guess it should arrive early next week.
Does not seem to be trackable from Australia Post

  • All to save $18… it STILL hasn't arrived!

    • +2

same here, bit disappointing. won't be buying again off this seller.

    • Ditto, tracking number in ebay says it was shipped out of Hong Kong on Sep 27, 10 days after I paid for it, and still no sign of it (in Melbourne). eBay "Estimated Delivery" dates show Sep 26 through to Oct 2, so if it doesn't arrive today I guess I'll have to follow it up.

      • Mine supposedly left HK on the 18th. I called Aus post, it has not even entered into Australia yet. They told me that that is too long and to get the seller to lodge an investigation… FFS

      • Mine was the same regarding info and dates, however turned up at the post office today. If you haven't seen it yet I would expect it very soon. I'm just glad to have it before the long weekend.

  • Same here, my copy left HK on the 23rd and has yet to be delivered. I have made contact with the seller (Mariio128), his reply was that the game should arrive in another 2 weeks, no mention as to why the delay either. Normally this guy is pretty quick with delivery, I have bought from him before. I should have bought the game from JB's from the get go.

  • Mine hasn't arrived yet as well. is this registered post? Will be delivered by Aus post?

  • Mine finally arrived yesterday (tracking said it was shipped from HK on Sep 27). It was delivered by Aus post, yep.
