According to Lenovo, the following email will be sent out for affected orders over the next 24 hours.

Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to accept your recent order due to a pricing error on the Lenovo Australia online store.

Based on current information this affected the following laptop configurations between Friday, September 13 and Monday September 16:

ThinkPad Edge E330, E531, T530, T430s & X131e display options

ThinkPad Helix digitiser pen, front camera and camera display.

I apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused and can confirm that this error has now been fixed. If you would like to place another order at the correct price, you may do this on our online store or telephone sales support centre.

For some reason, Lenovo is offering a hefty $165 discount if you select the "Arctic Blue" display colour when configuring the E330. There are three base configurations on offer - this applies the the i3-3120M and i5-3230M models (the i3-3110M cannot be reconfigured).

After changing the screen to Arctic Blue, the standard coupons also apply. For the i3-3120M, you can use SEPWELC2013 coupon. For the i5-3230M, the E330DEAL coupon provides a slightly bigger discount on the base config, while SEPWELC2013 may be better if you add upgrades.

ok this is getting odd. 14000+ clicks with many of you including myself bought couple, so they would have sold maybe 30000+ laptops and the deal is still on? This does not including people who bought it outside of ozbargain. So I think its price error……………..

  Assuming 30k+ laptops sold based on 14k+ clicks is a bit of a stretch. I think the vast majority of those clicks wouldn't have resulted in a sale at all, many of those clicks would be repeat visits by the same person, and most people who buy would buy only one. It's likely that thousands have been sold at this point, though. :)

I decided to buy the OneLink doc but after the initial laptop purchase. The SEPWELC2013 works on that one too taking it down to $125 including free shipping. That beats all the store prices I've found in AU.

Also you can find a caddy for the DVD rom so you can put a HDD in there. So I'll be installing a SSD on the internal port and the HDD that comes with the laptop in the caddy. The caddy came out for $24 on Ebay.

I don't know if anyone already tried, but you can actually add GT740 2GB A.K.A N14P-GV2(codename) for only $150-ish on E531

for under $500, you can buy a gaming laptop with FDH(1920x1080) that can beat the most of $1000+ laptops on the market.

I know it must be a price error, but still very tempting.

  Honestly, I think the base i3 versions are the best deals… start upgrading the CPU and graphic card… it becomes a good deal, but I think you can have a better gaming machine for not much more then and discounts are going to get bigger as Haswell version start replacing older gen laptops

      No.. I took a quick loom in the manual and in the diagram it refers to a wlan/msata slot on the bottom… So if there is an actual connector under the blanking plate I would presume you could pop one in.

I tend to disagree with the people saying its not worth the extra money to go to an I5. From what i read on benchmark sites if you are doing video encoding for instance the I5 is almost twice as fast.

      Appears there are differences in speeds although low sample sizes are a worry. In the real world not sure if you would notice it though.
      
      The hardware assisted AES encryption speed difference is interesting :-) The i5 has that feature over the i3. Good if you want to have an encrypted drive for security!

  This is an interesting article for those looking at gaming with the laptop… definitely get the Nvidia graphic card upgrade… plus this article shows that depending on whether a game is CPU intensive or not, there can be a significant frame rate difference between i3 and i5…. Depends what kind of game you like…
  
  These are for previous generation CPUs though, plus they compare i3 dual core versus i5 quad core, not sure if there's such a gap between the i3 3120 and i5 3230 which are both dual core… I would assume not

Guys this is killing , first saw this deal in the morning on my phone, but because i was out i decided to give it a thought and do more research before i bite the bullet. I ended up getting home half hour ago, took a shower and the deal us still on!! I'm not in desperate need of a laptop although my 7-year old Dell 6400 laptop is starting to fall me…should i just buy one or save the money towards a car? My laptop is just for normal use (not much gaming/candy crush is about it if any).

I'm guessing the e531 basic spec will suffice?

      Well I finally did it, a slightly painful process trying to checkout (paypal wouldn't work); surprisingly live chat option popped up, chatted with one of the online rep and finally opted for direct deposit. Bought the E531 for $336.60, also traveling next month so will be taking this along for TRS rebate.

"14 days risk free return" seems to answer my query. However, "What is Lenovo's Cancellation and Variation Policy?" mentions that

"Orders for customised (Configure to Order) personal computers usually cannot be cancelled because the building process begins shortly after the order is placed.

Orders for products that are listed as "Available" (including accessories, monitors, printers and pre-configured PCs) cannot be cancelled or amended after the order is placed. We encourage you to review your order carefully."
