Was checking the interwebs for a good price on a Dyson handheld cleaner and found this one.

The DC34 Animal sells normally for $269-$289 and at the moment at least at Masters its only $5 more than the non-animal version.

Pretty good price for a handheld dyson. Might have to weight it off between the DC44 but I was very happy with the DC34 multifloor I bought through HN couple of months back. Paid 289 for it then.

    • I'm trying to find a multi-floor also. Anyone know of cheap prices?

I still think the DC45 from Amazon Germany is better value.

        http://www.amazon.de/Dyson-DC45-Handstaubsauger-Elektrob%C3%…

having purchased recently for about $370 delivered give or take the aussie dollar its 33% (Im sure someone will correct my math) more expensive but has several benefits including a longer battery life (newer tech) and doubles as an up right vacuum.

I know that if something does go wrong its going to be an issue with the return but its a chance Im glad Im taking at the moment.

      • Dyson DC35 @ Big W - $368

Here's all the Dyson Multifloor prices ($329 to $685, DC29 to the latest DC54) we have on AnyPrice, hopefully it will reduce some research time. http://www.anyprice.com.au/search?q=dyson+multi+floor

I think you will have to make a decision between cheaper price (older models) or more expensive (newer models) like pw2002au said. Most Dyson models have good reviews.

Also great find OP, Masters DC34 price is as cheap as factory seconds price.

      • you should be able to get the DC 44 for about $350 if you're patient. That's what I paid at GGuys a while ago. Prices might come down too with the DC 59 out, and the new "Hard" probably on the way too

This is a good price for the DC34 but I personally would spend the extra for a stick model.

  • If i don't have an animal. is the animal one still better to get?

    • My understanding is that animal has a bigger battery and slightly better performance, which is why it weighs 200grams more than the regular DC34

      • The animal is the same vac, but with a different "head" that picks up animal fur much better.

We bought a dc39 animal for around $400 at masters. We fill the canister very fast, it's kinda scary how much animal hair it collects.

        • 400? wow thats an awesome price!

that was the regular DC34, not the DC34 Animal

      • Whoops I didn't notice that. Thanks rodripa.

  • The DC34 Animal has been superseded by the DC58 Animal.

  • Urgh, I bought the non-animal DC34 from Masters 2 weeks ago (I don't recommend the speed of their click-and-collect)

    • I believe click and collect should be a lot faster, not 24h+

I work near masters, bought a microwave online in the morning, wanted to get it on way home, but could not have it ready.

If masters want to be good, they should have a 2hr turnaround for this sort of stuff.

      • It should be faster, but wasn't for me.
I waited 6 days for my order to be ready for collection, then 20 minutes for the staff to find it in the warehouse when I went to pick it up.

  • We just got a DC59, and it's friggin awesome. Well, as awesome as a vacuum can really be (which isn't much), but it does the job a trillion times better than our old black and decker POS.

    • Price?

      • +1

Rewards points for me - but it's $599 at myer

(it's the animal one, the non-animal is twenty bucks less iirc)

  • Does this come with the extensions to vacuum normally?

The website only says it includes a "Combination accessory tool"

  • just brought back a dc44 with a free car cleaning accessory kit for the uk for 251 squid.

  • I bought one when the last time it was posted here from Alwaysonsale. Was Ok on normal but where it really picks up is on Max. But no way it lasts 6 mins, half of that at best. Then you have to recharge it.

Had to return the machine as the motor started cutting out after just 1 week of use.
