Geronimo Jerky: Monthly Deal - $35 for a 500g Bag + Shipping

180

I've been hanging out for these guys to have a good monthly deal and I think this one is good enough to post.

I'm in Melbourne and for me it was $15.20 for shipping one 500g bag. A few of us at work went in together and bought 6 bags and shipping for that was $18.95.

Best Jerky I've ever had.

Forgot to add: Limit of two 500g bags of each flavor per order.

aww, just noticed only two bags each flavor per order. Still a good deal however

    • Oh, sorry, forgot to add that part.

hellz yeah, this stuff is so much better than jims

  • Australia Post: $15.20 (0.515 kg) To country vic.

    • That's whack! A 3kg satchel from Australia Post costs $13.40 (it's cheaper if they get it in bulk) Someone's trying to make extra money…

I really do understand your concern Antler but the bags even double bagged don't travel well in 3kg satchels. We box the jerky carefully and send with tracking through Aus Post OR courier if you request for same price. Pricing is put through an Aus post plug in on our site.

        Kind Regards,

        The Big Chief

Just received my jerky and guess what…it arrived in a 3kg Australia Post satchel..no box.
So will you be refunding me the difference I paid for shipping $17.75 versus $13.40 for the satchel?

Meh, don't think once you factor in shipping it's a deal really. Plenty of places charge $70 - $80 for jerky / biltong per kg.

      Maz,

The guy's over at Geronimo do really nice jerky, I normally order serveral kilo's at a time & they throw in free shipping to perth.

  • $20 shipping for 1kg to South Coast NSW =/ Was going to order until I saw that.

i will have to say this is great jerky - my faves are "Flamin' Arrow" and "Blazing Saddles" - the hot ones…

    • Hey, do you know which one is hotter? I'm thinking of buying a spicy one.

      • Hottest is Flamin but to hot for most-

I would try Blazin-Spicy Shaman is more like curry barbq without heat :-)

        Regards,

        The Big Chief

        • Hi Big Chief,

I think you should put up a hot/spicy meter on the site for a reference. I'm looking for a mild spicy flavour. For example Spicy Shaman, Buckshot and Sidewinder which is milder in this 3? Thanks.

Running from left to right on this page is from mild to wild :-) all the way up to Flamin Arrow. Stampede however is not hot and has guarana in it.

        • Thanks mate.

I wish they listed the shipping cost up front rather than forcing you to sign up for their site - $24 for delivery to Perth. I've had stuff delivered from the US for cheaper than that.

  • Hmmm browsed the website but can't seem to find any actual nutritional info for their jerky.

Anyone have any idea of the protein/fat/carb/sugar per 100g?

I remember last Geronimo deal if you bought over $150 it was free shipping. I guess that's not a thing anymore?

    • First post and new to Ozbargain?Welcome Giott-

We have had free shipping deals but haven't got one on in conjunction with this sale. Perhaps one day we will look at offering a deal with free post and discount pricing so you can get the best beef jerky around.

      Warm Regards,

      The Big Chief

I was going to comment on the tiny size of your flavour sample considering everywhere else seems to provide a decent quantity to check for aftertaste/after eating a lot, but given the quality of the flavours I see why you've released them this way.

Geronimo seems dryer than other common Jerky brands.

The powwow seems to add some moistness back, which I like as a biltong fan. Stampede is truly unique and I rarely pass up an opportunity to buy a caffeinated product. I'll be ordering two of each.

Sidewinder, Blazin' Saddle & Flamin' Arrow for about $123 shipped. Noice.

Thank's Chief, look forward to enjoying this again.

  • Can wait to get my hands on the Buckshot!! Best Jerky I have ever had!!!

  • If I went to the store at Mitchelton, would the price be the same?

    • Yes it will be the same price-Might be an idea to call (07) 3357 5580 or email [email protected] to check if we have what you want in stock OR order online and mark it as pickup with an eta of delivery.

      Kind Regards,

  • Hi I've been trying to register onto your website since Friday.
I'm not receiving the confirmation email and I've tried a few different email addresses to be safe(not in spam folder).
I'm getting smtp errors messages to Iinet's mail servers when I do try to register.

    • Hello Hortis,

Having nothing but trouble with server email-sorry for the late response.
If you can forgive me, email me at [email protected] with your full name and I will get it fixed NOW. Deal finishes today.

  • Great deal. Thanks for getting the delivery to me within 5 days, it was very timely!

  • Just to let everyone know this deal will finish today- It wont be repeated until next year as it is on cost for us.

I would love to hear from you guys/gals about what type of deals you like too. We are working on the bag idea again and haven't had any explosions. Would a free shipping deal go down well with a discount?
