  Does Airasia allow connecting flight bookings now, or do we need make separate bookings? (ie, book Melb to KL, then KL to Bangkok?).

    Nar, you have to book it all separately, which also means you take your chances on getting to your connections on time. But at those prices, you can't have everything :)

    Looks like the $219 KUL-MEL flights are not available in July - I found them in June.

    The breakdown for my calculation is:
    MEL-KUL: $219 - http://adioso.com/search/mel-to-kul-jun.html
    KUL-BKK: $31 - http://adioso.com/search/kul-to-bkk-jun.html
    BKK-KUL: $47 - http://adioso.com/search/bkk-kul-jun.html

    Unfortunately fares this low are not available through the entire sale period.

    The actual route will be MEL -> KL -> BKK

    Choosing these dates gets you the $516:
    Depart 18May Return 26May

    I realise that you are looking at July departures and while there $219 flights available from MEL to KL: http://adioso.com/search/melbourne-to-kuala-lumpur-july.html
    There doesn't seem to be any cheaps flights back at that price: http://adioso.com/search/kuala-lumpur-to-melbourne-july.html

    Looks like they've sold out of the cheap seats for July on the return leg.
