I only paid $199 for the Ipod touch 4th gen 8gb on the 09-06-2011, I'm surprised these are still so expensive.

It's amazing how apple can sell obsolete mp3 players at a premium and people still call this a deal? 2 years ago they were this price, in two years special should improve and capacity increase for the same price…

it has the advantage of compact size and physical buttons.
i hook up my shuffle to my car's stereo. changing songs on a shuffle is obviously easier/safer than having to look at the itouch to poke the right button

Even if you like apple products, the iPod 16gb has been $150~$160 on special over a year ago. And the value of a 2gb mp3… is well not much.
Ipod Touch 4 gen is almost 3 years old now. Depending on what apps or games you run on it, some can actually be slow to load. To me 16GB is not enough storage space. A lot of games now of days are about 1GB each.
it is not really a good deal since the 4th gen is too old now.

I take it that The Good Guys are clearing out some stock before they become obsolete stock on September 10. Very clever and good deal, but there may be better clearance prices when the new model comes out.
