I'm new to NFC tags, not sure if this is helpful, but what I've found so far:
- NFC Task Launcher (Free) will do most simple tasks.
- Tasker ($3.49) will do more advanced stuff (you can launch "Tasker" tasks via "NFC Task Launcher" for seamless goodness)
- InstaWiFi (Free) will provide Wi-Fi QR codes/NFC tasks.
- WoL Wake On Lan Wan (Free, but has to be used in combination with "Tasker") will turn on your computer remotely.
User wonderboy suggests PcAutoWaker will do the same thing, but based on Wi-Fi connectivity (which will save you using an NFC tag)
- And finally Puzzle Alarm Clock will allow you to snooze/silence an alarm via an NFC tag.
