Dashcam available for $50 as well, some stores seem to have availability
good
And Kogan offer $39 (pre order) for HD Dash Cam http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/hd-dash-cam-video-recorder/
"HD" with a thousand quotation marks around it.
It records at 1280x720 but the bit-rate and compression are insanely bad. Goes for all of these cheap mountable cameras.
Still for $35 it is worth it.
That looks almost identical to the $20 ebay dashcam I got. It "records in 720p" but of course the image is nowhere near SD potential. More like VHS. Good enough if you don't need number plates.
$25 now with lower AUD. Why buy Kogan?
I have one of those, ok but the Kaiser Baas has wider view & passable night vision while this has none for night vision.
Seems to be a re-branded RD32 (Amazon, DX). In which case, this review covers all the reasons not to pick one up:

In summary:
how about maginon action camera from ALDI?
looks the same with this.
considering this deal is more than half the price of both the amazon and dx listings, and that the youtube review is over 2 years old (ie. would have been alot more expensive on release), this doesn't seem like a bad deal
Somewhat improved in the "updated" version:

Big question is, then… is the Kaiser Baas unit the old or updated model?
OW website description says it's 20m waterproof, which suggests the new, but also mentions IR night vision which suggests the old.
I might grab one anyway, for that price. Easier than trying to attach my 808 Keychain camera to my bike.
Going by the ALDI specs and the sample image, I'd say it's the same camera.
apparently Aspley Officeworks does not have it despite listed as "in stock".
discrepancy was their excuse.
Glebe officeworks have stocks, grab one after uni, Seems 4 left. Thx OP
Ballarat OW found a single unit in the store room, so I bought it.
The guy was surprised, and said that "Limited stock" on the website usually means "no stock that we are aware of", and generally isn't even worth ringing up, let alone come in to check.
The camera battery seems not to be holding a charge - I've only given it ~1 hour charge, but then it turned off within a minute.
The video footage is horribly jump with the dropped frame thing the review above^^ mentions.
The handlebar mount bracket broke as soon as I attached the camera.
On the upside, mine does have infra-red night vision LEDs (as well as visible light LEDs), and yet doesn't have the dreaded purple tinge noted in the review.
I think there's a fairly high likelihood I'll be returning it for my money back. The bracket looks like it would be much stronger with a good bit of epoxy holding it together, but if the battery is no good, then forget it.
i had similar problems turning it on during a 1 hour charge. left it over-night and recorded 30mins-ish worth of footage, so far so good.
had trouble getting the camera onto the bracket too, luckily didn't have anything break. Now that its on i'm having trouble getting it off, so i've taken the whole thing off the handlebars. The good thing is that the fit is quite snug.
For $35, can't really complain. Ive had meals more expensive than that.
Got one on the weekend at Alexandria where they had 7 left on the shelf and took it for a few laps at a local pool this morning to confirm that it is indeed waterproof so for the price I will keep it and hopefully take it out for a surf.
Here's a video of what the output looks like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2Kn3AulG4k
It records at 30FPS and it's useless at night, but aside from that, for cyclists/motorcyclists, it's not too bad for insurance purposes.
Speaking of cheap video cams; JB has a hand-held Kaiser Baas Mini DV camera for $39: http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/digital-cameras/video-cameras…
And a Car Dash Cam for $58: http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/car-sound/car-speakers/carcam…
