  • wow that is a fantastic price

  • Avada Kedavra!

:D I am so buying these vids for my ipad <3

  • I dont use itunes or any apple product but can you watch this on a TV or burn it? Or is this strictly only for an ipad?

    • -3

      Err no.

    • +1

      Err yes.

Have to use third party software though. Keep in mind that while it is not illegal to format shift in Australia, it is illegal to override DRM protection.

Should also be noted that iTunes can stream content, so if you're using a smart TV there are other completely legitimate ways to enjoy the content.

      • Can you just rip it to a HDD?

        • +2

The issue would be the DRM. Once that is removed (which is illegal… Despite the fact we are talking about a video file that you intend on purchasing, and would therefore own and only format shift for reasons of access) you can use whatever format you wish (including HDD appropriate container files like MKV or AVI).

Honestly, worth considering creating an American iTunes account and getting an Apple TV.

Very cheap content (see Unity1's post below) without the format shifting headaches/potential illegality.

  • Great deal, shame it isn't available in the Aus store.

    Spiderman Trilogy: $19.99
The Godfather Trilogy: The Coppola Restoration: $19.99
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: $9.99

    Harry Potter Complete Collection: $9.99
    The Matrix Trilogy: $9.99
    Die Hard Ultimate collection: $39.99
Back to the Future Trilogy: $19.99

    • Harry Potter Complete is the best value. Heck, I'd even overlook "Sorcerer's" instead of "Philosopher's"!

  • I don't have a US account .. is it possible for a US user to buy this and Gift it to an AU account?

    • Sadly, no.

  • Can an Australian CC or Paypal account fund a US iTunes purchase?

    • +1

Not sure, i hear most people buy US itunes cards and do it this way. Well thats what they do to get netflix anyway.

    • +1

No, you can't. Must have a fake address and buy a US gift card (I get mine from HD Movie Source since they have the lowest mark-up I've seen).

Edit: Just bought the Harry Potter Complete Collection. That is an amazing price for 8 films!

Good to see the Australian Government study/Report has cracked down on Australia being screwed out of world pricing by big companies!

Thanks! Just bought it. Awesome price.

  • HD = ? resolution. 720p or 1080 i/p ? anyone ?

    • +2

Harry Potter = 41.2 GB (HD 720P), 17.7 GB (SD)

      • thanks.

      • Wonder why they don't do 1080i/p

        • They do. 37.03 GB (1080p HD).

        • that means that 720P takes up more space than 1080P?

  • If I buy this can I watch it directly on Appletv?

    • +1

Yup. I bought it on my Mac, then killed the download in iTunes. Switched over to the Apple TV and the movies already there ready to be streamed.

      • thanks, just checked and ur right, working 100%
        great buy at $10

  • Already expired :( ? Harry Potter back to $60, some are still at $10 like Matrix… etc

    • +1

So sad, by the time I got some US credits, it's all expired :(

  • Read that the $10 harry potter was a pricing error and was fixed a bit later thats why it's $60 now.
