  • Find your closest empty tin of another brand where?

Obviously I don't have a baby, but anything for my free can of baby formula!

    • You could also wait until recycling bin collection day and scavenge through your neighbours bins.

best not to abuse this promo as it will help alot of families with babies

I'd like to say that nobody would bother going to the trouble of finding an empty can of formula and travelling to a pharmacy just to get a can of baby formula they have no use for. However, this IS Ozbargain…

  • can i use baby formula on my vitabrits?

    • Is this formula for babies?

      Or formula from babies?

    • It probably doesnt taste good…. I used to add my baby's NAN gold to my coffee, it taste bad but since its so expensive, I didnt want to waste it… then we change to another brand, and it taste even worse, and now I just toss the leftovers away.

  • Whats the expiry on these things ?
We're planning a baby, this might speed things up :)))

Best to stockpile first and ask questions later.

*Breastfeeding is best for babies. We support and encourage breastfeeding of infants by their mothers. Please consult your healthcare professional for advice before using this product.

    Wait… what?

Good if you are switching from Karicare after their recall due to contaminated baby formula (which can cause botulism). See http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-08-04/nutricia-says-no-produ…

However, I would advise strongly against using this free tin of formula just to get a free formula tin (I know it goes against the Ozbargain way). Changing formula isn't good for your baby's tummy - could result in constipation, diarrhoea, reflux after feeding, etc. And having a not very happy bub. All for saving $15. If your baby is happy with one brand its best not to change it - stick with what works. However if you are thinking about changing formulas then this is a good opportunity.

    • Thanks Syba, good advice there.

    • True, very true. For the potential trouble one might run into if the change doesnt suit the lil bub, its not worth it. But good deal if anyone wants to save a few bucks.

do they take milo cans? i take it just like baby formula anyways i.e. add milk, heat and drink

    • +2

If you tell them that's what you feed to your newborn they may give you a can out of pity. It's worth a try.

      • probably not worth the risk as they may cancel the promo due to abuse.

        • Sorry. Sometimes my sarcasm is not obvious enough.

I was referring to the Milo Cans, not to your reply comment.

They probably have a limit to the free promo since these are not cheap.

If we abuse it, they are most likely to report it to head office which would result in cancellation or limiting the promo

Better to play it clean this time on.

        • Maybe a horde of Ozbargainers camped outside the pharmacy tonight waiting to get a can of this new formula will be great publicity for them. It works for Apple.

In all seriousness though, if you don't have a baby you should probably leave this alone.

I was also joking about the Milo cans. I wouldn't want to screw up the deal for anyone.

    • What about a coffee can?

  • No stores near by or convenient enough for me. Locations here.

  • I have redeemed my can of toddler formula. I was told by the pharmacist that this brand is same as S26, almost same formula as S26 and from the same manufacturer in USA. Worth a try in my opinion.

  • Just collected mine, no problems. They ask you to write down your name and email address and I was the first name on the list at the Goodna store. There was a huge supply available and the price to purchase them was quite reasonable too (around $17) for anyone seriously interested in changing their formula.
