    Fantastic deal for people with seven ears.

    Let us know when they put solid-state gyros in the headphones, so the music adapts when you turn your head. then this sort of thing might possibly be meaningful.

      If you are playing a game, or watching a movie, then you can be pretty sure that your head is fairly straight-on to the phone's display. You don't have to worry about people turning their heads in either of those situations.

    Why so many haters? I've got a 5.1 system at home and love it! And I dunno how well this will work but at least I won't have to spend $3k to find out! People are hard to please these days. Thanks Op! I'll give it a go! :)

    It's probably implemented using binaural HRTF based spatialisation.

    The HRTF is different for each individual but generally it will definitely sound 3D at varying degrees for different people.

    Edit: Just tried it out, it sounds great with standard earphones!
