This game can be obtained without a Netflix subscription from December 17.
For the first time ever, Netflix will make its upcoming party royale game Squid Game: Unleashed available to everyone for a limited time, regardless if you’re a Netflix member or not. The announcement was made Thursday, live at The Game Awards in Los Angeles, ahead of the game’s December 17 release. Like all Netflix Games, Squid Game: Unleashed will come without any ads or in-app purchases.
I mean, they did a series, it got surprisingly big, they then took a couple years to drop a second season, and are promoting it at Maccas and with a phone game.
Considering the spontaneous overnight success and then multiple year wait for a follow up, I don't think they're doing enough to remind people it exists honestly.
There's also the Netflix game show, netflix range of foods last year at coles, smiths chips range, toys and other merchandise, and so many clothing brand collabs.

Doesn’t work on my iPhone 13 with latest iOS 18.1.1 update. The game crashed twice and had to be restarted and on third attempt clicking on the Start Game button does nothing. Deleted.

This deal becomes less appealing as each term is revealed, much like the TV show.
Ooohhh - I can better that!:
* Droid game supposedly needs droid 8.0+.
* Have some droid devices, and a few of those above v8.
* Game says NONE of them are valid, so won't let me install.
* Tried even from each device itself, same no-result.
* And yes, tried after the "install" button went-live/became available appx 24hours ago.
And no, do not have netflix. So… don't know what's going on - unless you NEED netflix regardless?
Anyway, hope other droid users have had better luck. Or from what I'm reading in these comments here, maybe it's better that I don't get it? :)
Gameplay wise it's decent, but it does feel like the lobbies are filled with bots :(

(shrug) NO idea. Anyone able to get/install the android version WITHOUT a netflix membership?
PS. sent an e to the game developers via the game's play store page. Got the automated reply from Netflix Playstore "Thank you for contacting Netflix. For assistance, please reach out to our customer service by visiting help.netflix.com".
Tried at netflix too, but ALL I could find was tv streaming app faqs - nothing about the game service.
Does NOT bolster ANY confidence about netflix games. Hope it helps anyone thinking about getting netflix games subscription; this has pretty much put a nail in that coffin for me.
