Lol neg city for a full stop? Tough crowd :)
damn! at this price for a lappy with discrete gfx, the choice between a tablet and this became a lot easier! i say this because some sales figures suggest people seem to be buying more tablets over cheap laptops or postponing a laptop purchase with a tablet
no…
people also consider the portability factor of tablets.
dude, does that phrase "don't shoot the messenger" ring a bell?
here, if you don't believe me, listen to Steve Ballmer CEO of Microsoft;
Instead of buying regular laptops and desktops, consumers are buying tablets, which can do many of the same tasks for far less money
http://www.businessinsider.com.au/idc-tablet-shipments-to-ex…Laptops will truly die out once we have x86 processors that have the same power and thermal efficiency of ARM cpu's.
Price is also another consideration of course. I wouldn't mind a $400 tablet that's able to run Win 8 Pro, have enough grunt to play Dead Trigger on a 1080p IPS display, and have the 2 day standby life of a regular Android tablet.
Ballmer would say anything to get people to buy that POS Win8.
Not a comment on you or your original statement about tablets.
I bought a similar laptop at this price about 4 months ago
(with Win7 by choice) and its working out great.
Better resolution would be nice for some apps but for the
money this is decent.
Great price
for the big screen with crap resolution of 1366*768 i will say no
This is the standard res for a 15.6", if you want a 1920x1080 screen then expect to pay for it.
For an i5 with a pretty decent discrete GPU, it's a great price and could game on an external monitor or tv at 1920x1080.
ripper price, bought one today, thanks Ozbargain.
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7670M (2 GB GDDR3 dedicated)
damn this is a tempting deal… thanks op
ED: LED Display (1366 x 768)
…hmm maybe i spoke too soon
