1st post, so please excuse n00bishness.
Only $799 for a Plasma TV sounds pretty cheap to me!
Apparently has an LG 1024x768 panel, HD tuner, 2x HDMI ports, VGA, etc. Supports 1080i.
42" Telefunken Plasma TV $799! Includes HD tuner. From Kmart

It's a decent price but I've had experiences with the brand which raises a concern. If anyone purchases this model, give us a heads up on how it goes eh :)
Panel resolution is low.It is classed as HD but it's closes HD resolution is 720p. great price for a 42inch with HD tuner.
I would not call 1024x resolution HD !!
anything above 720 vr is HD, but not full HD. Dunno about plasmas though for reliability.
1024x768 is a normal resolution for 42 inch plasma tvs. The big brands - panasonic etc - also sell plasmas with this resolution. That's not to say it's as good as a panasonic. Just stating the facts. :)
Get in quick if you want this TV. Kmart had the exact same offer a couple of months ago. I turned up very early on the first day, to be told they had sold out in less than 3 minutes! It seemed very much like bait advertising, as they made a big deal about the sale, but had very few in stock.
My flatmate bought one. Looks pretty damn good, even though not full HD. Tried it on PC, playstation, dvd, and the inbuilt hd tuner. All looked quite crisp. Overall I think it's worthwhile, but I just hope it doesn't die in 13 months!
Can anyone tell me the contrast on this TV?
