Yeah I stayed at Ibis Styles Melbourne off the last "50% off" sale. Still cost over $100 for a night in the middle of the week, and was a shoddy hotel.

Not going to Asia during the sale period but I'm going later in the year. Hopefully there'll be more of these types of sales!
If not already a member get onto the Accor mailing list. Their Sale a month or 2 ago for 50% off was much much better Ibis Asia prices than this sale. So try to wait for another 50% sale.
This is actually part of the Accor chain 48 hour sale. And is for the Asia Pacific region including Aus, NZ and Fiji. But don't get your hopes up because it's only Sofitels available with this sale in the Pacific.
Also these discounts are based off the best unrestricted rates, so it's not that great, considering prices won't be much lower (if it is any lower) than advance rates and it'll be non-cancelleable anyway…
