7" Dual Screen $33.98 (Save $66) @ DSE North Sydney (don't know about others)

60

I have only seen this in the North Sydney DSE today, so do not know if it applies elsewhere. I can't seem to find it on the website either.

Basically the same deal as this popular one at the beginning of July but they are now even further discounted by another 15% to $33.98(!). I hope the $6.00 will come in handy. :)

Copied from the previous bargain…

DSE Website is useless and terrible place to visit.

I will try my best to highlight the features

Remote control with battery

  • FYI, the cables to attach to the headrests are horrible, and have big buckles where your head goes. Completely impractical.

    • we place the buckle on the back of the headrest… problem solved…

  • got it when it was 39.99 a month ago.
surprising image good quality for this price.

anyone know can it run on battery?

    • nope, no inbuilt rechargable battery.

    • The model I have runs on battery, but only when 1 screen is used. You need external power to run both screens.

      • is it just normal AA battery?
want to run on battery as well ;-)

        • no, built in rechargeable. I've never opened it up to find out, it recharges when it's connected to power, so it's always fully charged. It runs for about 3 hours.

  • They recalled some of these due to a battery safety issue. If you have a battery still, you might want to check yours. The ones they are selling now have had the battery removed.

I bought the 9" model for $80 a couple of months ago and found it worked well in the car for the kids. Will play from a 120GB USB HDD with .AVIs on it. Some video formats not supported though.

I checked their facebook page and the model I have has not been recalled dammit…

It would have been great to get a refund and get a newer and cheaper model !!!
