Brother 2130/2132 High Yield Compatible Toner $15ea ($9 Flat Shipping)

Great Compatible Toner Cartridges

I found these cartridges on OzBargain (I think?) and have just bought another 4 cartridges. They work great in our printers.
Wife is a teacher and we go through them far to very quickly.

I got 4x Toner Cartridges ($15ea Toner + $9 Postage) Totaling $69 delivered via courier.

NB. Officeworks prices for one = $58.11 - We just used our last toner and I had to get more, saw the special at Officeworks for $58.11 for one and thought I can get get 3 for that price. (I actually got 4, so I don't need to shell out again so quickly and spread the delivery cost out a little more).

I suppose this is not a new bargain or a special, that I know of, but to us it is a bargain and I thought I would tell other OzBargainers out there about it.

If this is not in the correct spot please feel free to move it.

    plenty on ebay for cheaper, 1 for $18 2 for $33, 3 for $49, 4 for $64.80 etc etc

    • True you can get them for $18 delivered. Do they work as well? or any dramas with them?

I am just impressed with the Protoner ones at the price offered compared to the OW price. I have used them and they worked and didn't harm the printer like others have. (I know the printers are cheap but I don't want them to need to be replaced.)

Anyways, just thought I would share my experience with other OzBargainers.

The eBay stuff is identical to what protoner sells. I am up to my 5th toner replacement with around 1000-1200 pages per cartridge depending on what I print.

You might say that it is less than the 2600 quoted, but be aware that the measurement is taken at 5% page coverage.

Thanks for sharing but not a bargain. :)

        • Cool, my printer has recently started moaning about toner (still on the starter cart) so I've grabbed a 2250 from this seller to shut it up.

  • My toner started to run out in my 2132, thought about buying another printer. Thanks for reminding me I have options to buy more toner! No way I'm paying $55+ for one.

Your printer tends to moan about being low on toner, but in actual fact has plenty left in the cartridge. All you need to do is a toner reset. which can be found on youtube.

I also found it that it is better value to buy the toner ink (Powder) and replace it yourself. Steps are very straightforward.

  • Great timing rep, someone just posted the printer that these work with! For $44 at DSE

    • G'day

I am not a Rep just a happy customer that wanted to help fellow OzBargainers, like they have helped me. I never seem to get the deals that others manage to find so I thought I would post up a deal that I use. Didn't know the Ebay stuff was identical.
(Re Rep, happy to send my last invoice to an Admin to prove my last purchase).

Ps. I love these Brother Laser printers Hl-2130 or HL-2132 they make it affordable to print a lot. Never ever buy one at full price, just wait they regularly pop up for sale.

  • For those who need an original toner, or to get one urgently (which is commonly the case for me), don't forget to price match Officeworks against Good Guys and get the cartridge for $40.37.

Still, after seeing this, I don't think I will be getting the originals any more. Thanks for confirmation that these compatible cartridges work.

Absolutely Brilliant, ordered Wednesday night @7pm, and was delivered to the door here in Melbourne 8am Friday and being High Yield I can not complain about a $24 price and with reviews that were positive. The eBay cartridges were pretty much frowned upon in reviews.

The next decent Hi-Yield cartridge I found was from Inkstation - http://www.inkstation.com.au/brother-hl2132-toner-cartridges…

They had good consumer reviews and Officeworks had Standard Factory Cartridges for $58.11ea - http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Ink-and-Toner/…

As Mat_Lab says, I love these printers, but I WOULD pay full price if mine "shit it self" which it hasn't and has had over 15K pages go through it since February this year (HL2132)
