  • Does it have wifi?

    • No Wifi, if you need printer with Wifi I picked up one from msy that came with $100 cash back only cost me about $95 after the cash back.

        Does it have bluetooth?

        • why would you need Bluetooth?

To play music. What do u think?

      • I see. I just bought the Epson WorkForce WF-2530 for $98 from Harvey Norman with a $30 cash back only cost me $68 after the cash back. Even this printer is far better than what's on offer in this thread since it's got WIFI, FAX and auto sheet feeder.

If anyone's interested I brought this printer yesterday (MX456)
    http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/computers-laptops/printers/ca…
$89 which you can get $20 cashback
They also give $20 cashback if you buy a set of ink and with JB having half price ink at the moment works out pretty good.
So you can get an MX456 with a second ink set (black/color) for $78 after cashback.

Just got confirmation email this morning saying that it was validated and I'll be receiving $40.

    • Interesting mate, did you do that in store?
Do you get your cashback from JB or Canon?

      Thanks

    • Now this sounds like a good deal to me!

      • Yeah I was happy when I found it, if you or someone else thinks it's worth posting as a deal on its own your welcome too.

    • Did you buy it online or in-store? Do you know if that price is only for a limited time? Also, what ink cartridges does it take?? Thanks.

      • Yes from in-store, didn't notice the webpage said to buy the printer online, I just showed the worker at JB the website on my phone and he did it all up for me, can upload the receipt if you need it.
The printer takes canon pixma 640 black and 641 color, it can also use the xl versions, I got an extra black xl version just to stock up while its 50% off.
Looks like 50% off ink is till 24-12-13 while the canon cash back is only until 31-07-13.

Also there's other printers that the cashback applys to, some give different $ values back, same with ink being half price no matter which you get. I believe the MX456 though is the best for what I need it to do and for the value.

  • Got this printer for $25 at HN not to long ago
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/109228

  • Needed a scanner and this was cheaper then buying an individual one.

  • $40 for a printer, $70 for a set of ink cartridges. That's a bit of a stretch.

Can also get the canon Pixma -P7260 from canon @ $149 delivered less 20% using coupon 'cannonFF1' (119.20) less $50 cash back ($79.20)
If you get another set of ink, it bumps up the rebate to $100, but the final price also goes up to around $100

    • promotion code invalid?

      • +1

Hahahaha. Typo. My bad. Canon spelt the proper way. So canonff1.
        ;-)

        • Also if you buy more than one printer you get a bundling discount. I'm looking at the iP7260 & MX926 for $306.47 ($91.53 off) shipped free. Then $100 (2 x $50) off that - that's if the cashback is applicable - I don't think it is as it says in the T&C's:

'Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating AUSTRALIA retail stores and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.'

That code is for Family and friends.

        • Right you are. Forgot to mention about bundling! ;-p

        • Found it cheaper to buy from Bing Lee online (free delivery to Tas). MX926 $199, basic cartridges $22 each = $309, less the $100.

        • How do we know which printers are eligible for cashback and how much?
Considering returning the one I bought from JB today and getting P7260 through the site

        • This is great! I can buy the P7260 for almost the same price it costed me to buy to buy MX456 today.

Problem is, it says $50 cashback when you buy a FULL set of inks.
So I have to purchase another $100 worth of ink to get the first $50

          Correct me if I'm wrong

        • I haven't bought one, nor do I intend to, but my understanding is that you get $50 (or $20 / $100 depending on model) off for buying the printer, and then the same again for buying a full set of inks…

  • Awesome deal! Was going to buy a new printer this weekend! Thanks !!!

  • I have this printer and now i need ink for it. Started looking around for new ink and was a little shocked. thought i would just get some aftermarket ones… and wtf? they are almost the same price as the genuine… cheaper to buy a whole new printer at this price and just raid it for the printer cartridge and throw the rest out…

    • Should have bought an Epson printer instead. The high capacity black cartridge for my Epson Workforce WF-2530 printer is only $24 at JB HI-FI.
