The Epson ET8500 is currently on special at Bing Lee for $799.
The printer reviews well online. Apparently also very good with photo printing.
And ink refills on the Epson Ecotank line of printers is very cheap.
There is another model called the ET8550 which prints up to A3, outside of that essentially the same printer. This is generally always more expensive. So if you printing requirements are A4 or under this ET8500 could be a good fit for you at a pretty good price.
