July Terabyte Tuesday. US $38 for 1.1TB of Usenet from NewsgroupDirect

30

It's Terabyte Tuesday again. Yes, it comes around every month but it's still a pretty good way to buy a block of usenet that has no time limits.

1 TB or up to 1.1 TB if you include headers for US$38.

Over 1668 Days of Retention
50 SSL-Encrypted Connections
No Expiration Date
No Monthly Fees

It expires 3 pm Wednesday the 17th Brisbane time. Adjust your own time so you don't miss out.

Have a good look through the discussions in the past. There is a wealth of great information and opinions.

My affiliate link is below. It won't cost you any extra but it will keep me in usenet blocks (which I always appreciate).

How is their takedown compliance?.. getting a bit peeved at astraweb - everything gets taken down too quickly.

    • The OP seems to keep posting these deals over and over again.
      I'm tired of them.

He's doing it so he can earn credit from posting his affiliate link.
If it wasn't for the credits I doubt he would even bother posting.

I'm curious whether joining a European usenet provider would allow you to download content that has been taken down by DMCA. Apparently certain European providers are outside of their jurisdiction.

      Can anyone confirm?

There have been other posters on Ozbargain who have mentioned that joining an invite only nzb indexing site will get you around 'pulled' content.

      • European providers still pull down content. Some might take 2 weeks to do so though, whereas Astraweb is instant.

Invite-only indexers are still showing you the same content available to everyone. So if it's pulled down from Usenet (or a provider), it doesn't matter what indexer you use.

(And stop talking about Usenet in public places!)

      • see my post below … and no aff link ;)
