Good deal but not for here in QLD. "A search for this item at stores near 'Brisbane QLD 4000, Australia' shows that this item is not in stock at any store within 500 kilometres". Same goes for VIC

  • Were you able to buy it? Cause it is not in stock anywhere.

  • Out of stock everywhere. Could only see limited sotck availability North Ryde NSW.

If you really need a 5.1 dvd player Australia Post has an Olin DVD-560 5.1CH DVD Player listed for $24.99.

  • Any better option within 20-25$ mark?

  • anyone know players that can play MP4/MKV files? that popular x264 codec. a lot of files don't come in avi anymore.

    • Samsung can usually play most formats.

  • Good deal, but I can't find any stock in Sydney region except North Ryde being listed as having limited stock.

I am what one may call a late adopter when it comes to home entertainment systems. Although rarely, I still have a rear projection TV sitting in the lounge room. All of my movies are on DVD, I don't own any blu-rays nor do I any need to at this stage. I am perfectly happy with the DVD format and love the fact that I can rip an entire DVD to my hard drive (for backup purposes of course) and then watch the ISO image with my WD TV Live.

  • Wow. Akai are still alive?
