price wise, you could get 1000 lumen equivalent so why settle for 400-600 lumen.

  • Only the Amish use Q5's these days……. Get back to us with a decent T6 offer!

  • Guys, need a cheap, but really bright alternative that runs on eneloops while out on night photo shoots. Any recommendations?
    Thanks!

      Hi Rattle,
I have no idea about taking night time photos - especially photo shoots. Someone else can probably give you better advise on lighting.

What I can help out with would be cheap eneloop-powered torches - I would recommend the mini-CREE series - Q3 and Q5. They have been as cheap as US $4 and AUD$3.65, respectively.

From what I understand Q5 is meant to be more efficient than Q3.

Currently you can find these torches from AUD$4.78 on ebay

If you are in no rush, I'd say wait for an ozbargain post on these torches or something similar. There is one every so often.

    • whats your budget?
and how many eneloop cells are you using?
