I think you would be better getting a cheap router with USB port. Connect a hard disk to it. Or get a Epson WIFI printer with card reader, and you can share the files from media cards/USB.

    • Thanks for the info, I didn't thought about this, using wifi printer a good economical option, but this router is portable

    • That's a great idea. Must try it later with my hp - hopefully it works. Thanks for that!

      • I just tested it and it works! (I've got an HP OfficeJet 8600 Plus)

But it's not really an option; I tried to put a hard drive and there's not enough power for it, so i guess you'd have to use an external power supply - assuming it even works with an NTFS partition which i doubt.

Also, it's painfully slow - ~450-500kb download and ~300kb/sec upload speed.

  • what's the Battery life? I'll bet it not that hot.

    • Claimed battery life of up to 3 hours, with the next model DW17 having 7 hours (considering it has a powerbank inside of it, it better be significantly longer!).

Interestingly, the android app (which is advertised for the DW17 but not the DW09 as it is apparently not compatible) has a plethora of bad reviews. Is it because the buyers of the device have NFI how to use the app?

TL;DR Don't buy the DW09 if you don't have an iOS device.

  • Can you access it from a PC or laptop?
