    I assume it all depends on how complex your return is so you'd be best to contact them to get a better idea. I paid about $100 last year for a pretty bog standard return and that wasn't at a flat rate store. Only took about 20 minutes and had funds in my bank account within a week after.

      If your return is fairly standard, you might want to consider downloading Etax, and lodging your return online for free. It's all pretty straightforward, and refunds are usually fairly swift.

  Only at a few stores and not at any of the flat rate stores…

  In my opinion, not a deal. They do this every year, so it's part of their pricing structure/marketing plan.
