    are you serious? recommending this?
i wont buy again even at $5
disclaimer: i bought and put them in bin after 2 weeks

    • Do they sound that bad?

      • +1

Yes, they do, they also fall apart after minimal use

Better off with one of the headphone deals from DSE

        • +1

          Haha, which bit falls apart?
I was going to use it for parts for transplants (headband doesn't look too bad)

        • +1

I thought the same. At the very worst it would have been a spare bit of cable, but even that was so crap it went in the bin at the same time. The only bit I ended up keeping were the ear pads.

        • Definitely crapola - don't waste your money. The connection pin was the problem with mine - lasted about 1 week.

        • The connection pin was the problem with mine - lasted about 1 week.

That's really easy to fix - $0.40 TRS plug from ebay (well you needa buy it in a pack of 10) + 5 minutes of soldering.

The only bit I ended up keeping were the ear pads.

That sounds promising. What do you use them on?

        • +2

what about people who dont have a soldering iron? sticky tape? glue?

        • That sounds promising. What do you use them on?

          I've yet to find a use ;)

        • what about people who dont have a soldering iron? sticky tape? glue?

Buy one I guess. You actually can use sticky tape! I've done it before, obviously the connection is not as secure, but it does work to some degree :)

It's a pretty easy skill to pick up, and will save you from throwing out heaps of perfectly good headphones that have crappy headphone jacks.
          Can't always rely on warranty.

    • +2

Wow you have high tolerance levels, I binned mine after 2 hours.

      • +3

How do they compare to Beats by Dr. Dre ?

        • haha good one. should put on the title:
          "Beats Killer headphone"

  • +1

    Disco Stu wears these.

  • +2

    except $5 extra this time

How can a 56% price increase be a bargain?

    • if the rrp makes sense to you. $9 was not the rrp.

  • Poor quality headphones.

  • +3

I bought a pair last time as a gift for my daughter's birthday.
After getting them in the mail I didn't want to risk my little girl hating me for the rest of her life over something so trivial. Into the bin it went.

I don't recommend these to anyone, especially after they raised the price since the last "deal".

    • There is always a use for low quality headphones at my place. I wear headphones on the exercise bike and don't want to get any of my good headphones all sweaty, so I use the fake Sennheisers I got from DE. They do the job and have lasted for ages.

      • I use Soundmagic M207 inear phones while jogging. They do the job well without sacrificing sound quality or build.

  • When I first got mine from the previous deal, I thought that they were terrible quality sound from the headphones.

They still are, but I've gotten use to it a bit. Mine haven't broken anywhere though. But I only use mine for watching Foxtel Go on the toilet…

But I only use mine for watching Foxtel Go on the toilet…

Our family prefers to watch in the living room.

    • +1

      Does it help you go?

  • I'm not saying these are great quality but I bought a pair for my son on the last $9 deal and they're still going strong. Nothing has broken (yet). No idea about the sound quality and he hasn't complained, although he mostly watches youtube with them rather than using them for listening to music.
I was surprised that they weren't broken by the time I received them though given the limited amount of bubble wrap and post bag that they used!

    • +1

      Nothing has broken (yet).

Have you had your son's hearing tested?

      • thats a good one.. hilarious ! i can imagine techpoida quickly ring his son and told him to throw the headphone

  • and to the conclusion, i bought vmoda lp and happy (ending).

    • +1

      happy (ending)

How much did that cost you?

      • bought used but near new AUD80, brand new USD140-ish from amazon ( im talking about red model, black is bit cheaper)

        • +2

          whoosh!

… and that went right over.

  • +1

These are exactly what you pay for - a cheap set of headphones. My brother uses them daily around the house when he has study breaks, and they are still in very good condition. The quality is below par, but for the price they were (at $9 including deliver) not much to complain of for me. That being said - this "deal" as JV pointed out is 56% increase on price…

  • I have good headphones that cost $60. Good as in compared to $100-$200 headphones. Spend a little more and get something that sounds good and won't break.

  • I bought these on their last $9 deal and here is my 2c
    - the picture of the red one on their site is VERY,VERY misleading as there are no white bits on it, its just all red.
    - build quality is craptastic as expected for the price, the foam on my headband was already falling out
    - sounds meh at best, I ended up giving it to my little sister lol
    - oh and forgot to mention, dont expect it to come in a box. It will come in a Kogan bag wrapped in bubble wrap and the funny part is that it says please ensure that you keep all of the original packaging in case of warranty. Something along those lines so make sure not to pop them bubbles or rip the Kogan bag… :)

Wouldnt buy even at $5 to be honest

  • damn cant resist to add:
if you looking to buy, expect the worst and you will still get below that.
this is the reason i will never shop with kogan.
a shop that put rrp $49 on this thing are clearly need to be ban in australia.

  • Lol at the knock off beats and beats are the Ed Hardy of headphones
