I think I've seen this fan, it's ugly in my opinion

Some mixed reviews if this is the same identical fan:
    http://www.productreview.com.au/p/hunter-pacific-internation…

Some love it, some hate it.

The thing what will prevent me buying these is I live in a high humidity area and the fan blades are prone to rusting after a few years apparently. It's a no from me, otherwise good deal.

    • Plastic rusts?

      • Sure it does. It just so happens that the rust is also plastic.

    • Based on the reviews, i'd not use these in tropical climates. Thankfully, I have a mate who knows his stuff on electronics, so I'll get him to check/replace the capacitors.

There are 6 different ranges of Typhoon:

      • Typhoon
      • Typhoon 316
      • Typhoon Timber
      • Typhoon 48"
      • Typhoon Moulded
      • Typhoon 316 Moulded

For outdoor, coastal or tropical areas, fans with marine-grade 316 stainless should be used :)

huh? why the neg? you don't believe me or like the truth?

  • isn't chrome going to rust.

i recall seeing brushed stainless steel fans at bunnings for $89 (i think)

    • isn't chrome going to rust.

not necessarily - chrome is also corrosion-resistant, though not as good as stainless
