  • definatley cheapest price online so far.

    • Largely because it's an outdated model that no-one stocks any more.

  • Does it do PIP?

    • A valid question… but I have to ask (as Ive never figured it out), what do you find PIP useful for ?

      • Mostly flipping in between shows during ads, or doing something on one half of the screen on a computer and the other half a TV show/movie.

Seems like a pretty useless feature but for a $2000 TV I wouldn't mind having it as I used it a fair bit when I had my old TV, used to be easy where you could have one button to make it appear & another to resize/move it around. I liked it but haven't seen too many TVs with it (I'm guessing because it needs dual tuners + half the TVs now you have to dig through the settings to turn it on which defeats the purpose).

        • Actually I finally figured out a use and wish my current TV had it - controlling the media player (playing music videos) in a small window while having the rugby on the full screen…

  • I have not found one positive review/comment regarding this TV. Good price for a 60" 3D LED.

  • Not particularly good reviews with this series…

  • Just want to point out that these TVs are LC60LE835 not a 830 which was the year before model. While they are still a run out model the 830 was a 2011/2012, this model offered is a 2012/2013 model. Its a shame that there are only two reviews and one really pertains to hardware failures on the older model, not to the actual performance. While this may sound biased we found the picture quality of this model to be similar the series D8000 and ES8000 samsung.

    • The first review on your first link is from 2011 and for the LE835U.

The second link was written in April 2011 (source).

Do you deny that the reason none of the big suppliers carry it is because it's discontinued?

      • -1

Appliances online and Big brown box not a main stream suppliers?

As I said its a run out special, yes it is discontinued which is why it is a good deal, No one would sell a 200Hz LED panel at that price that wasnt :)

        • +1

From the bigbrownbox listing after you put in a post code:

SUPERSEDED This model has been superseded and is no longer available for sale.

Appliances Online is the same mob as bigbrownbox and the same message appears if you put your post code in their site.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but how is this a bargain when you can get an LG 60" plasma for $1299 or a Panasonic 60" plasma for $1749?

    • u missed the big picture HARD … your comparing LCD to Plasma…

    • Although im all for plasma, I still wouldn't get one if it's going to be a dedicated gaming screen.

Best picture quality and 3D - plasma
Anything involving static images - not plasma

Yes burn in still occurs in today's plasmas.
