If you want total networking failure use McAfee. I speak from experience, bought Dell laptop with this AV, all devices can talk to each other except the Dell. Make your own judgement or use Google to see the problem.

You could also ask the man himself…

"I haven't been involved with McAfee Anti-virus for 21 years. When I ran the company the software was the best and least intrusive on the market, and in 1991 we had 87% of the world market. What happened after I left was none of my doing. As to name association, I am a master at sullying my own name and, all things considered, being associated with the worst software on the planet ranks way down the pole." — John McAfee

    • lol… never knew that. Our enterprise uses all McAfee stuff as they go on the Gartner magic quadrant recommendations a lot… desktop and server AV, IPS, web filtering etc.. it's horrible for the end user, though it seems to do its job.

  • Mcafee is nowhere near the top of the security tree. There are plenty of better products which offer free or very cheap protection. I moved from McAfee to Kaspersky a couple of years ago and I'm MUCH happier and my system more secure.
