Where's your T&C / Privacy statement? How do we know you're not using OzBargain to farm resumes?

I understand your concern. I have no reason to farm resumes, I am simply trying to develop our business and potentially gain some new customers with our service. I am currently working on our T&C/Privacy statement and will be uploaded onto the webpage when complete.

Couldn't people just put a fake name and contact details on the resume if you are that concerned about privacy? It's the content that counts and you can always change the name back before you use it to apply for jobs.

It is a free check, they don't fix or correct your CV for free, you have to pay for that.
What does the 'review' that you give me include? For e.g. If its just like "we could make your resume better", then this is no deal.
The review includes constructive feedback on your resume. It mentions areas for improvement along with other information depending on the particular resume.

@gotbean, you are submitting personal information to the site. i would want assurances that my details are not going to be added to some database or sold on before using the site. the privacy act covers the handling of personal information. misuse of the information can be reported to the privacy commissioner.
i understand what it means, but wat i mean is that there is nothing to stop the company from not enforcing their own policies

I think you've done well in terms of representing who you are, your affiliation and the reason why you are offering this.
My feedback (aside from the privacy policy, which I think is reasonable, but shouldn't detract from the offer), is that it appears Resumes for Dudes offers the Resume Check service free anyway. This means it is a standard offer and not really a bargain.
If you were to offer 15% or 20% off for the the first 20-100 (pick a number) customers for your paid services, that would be a deal worth posting.

To be honest I did want to post something similar (offering a free service) about creating free websites while we are building our portfolio. Simple presentation websites (not on Joomla or Wordpress not that there is anything wrong with that, we just do not consider them user friendly for the normal business owner), but now I started to wonder what will you guys accuse us of, probably gathering email addresses for spam I guess.

I am still finalizing some stuff on the platform, just some pixels that are out of place, implementing some nice Access Privileges etc. It should be ready in a couple of weeks. We might talk afterwards.
Geezes, these guys work quick. I uploaded mine and got a call back within an hour. Another half an hour and I got a pretty detailed email describing ways I could improve mine and a quote for further work. I don't know if I'm going to proceed any further but it was definitely an interesting read and good to get some feedback on my resume.

Obviously it can vary greatly, but how about a mid level average one that isn't for positions above 90-100k?
