$50 Voucher with any purchase from Shopping Express EOFY Sale (No minimum spend)

116

Purchase an item from the EOFY Sale between 10-23 June and you get a $50 voucher for use in their store in July.

Voucher only valid for use in their July promotion - no details on this as yet, so it's a bit of a gamble, but hey $50 voucher is still good if you're looking to purchase something electronic anyway.

Must register to get the voucher.

They have a limit of $200,000 of vouchers to be given.

Some good products are decent prices e.g. http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/samsung-ssd-840-series…

It is a bit of a gamble though, but they have some good stuff at alright prices so if something takes your liking, think of the $50 voucher as a bonus.

  • Can I buy something worth $1?

    • cheapest item is $18 -
conditions say item must be bought from EOFYS sale page - cheapest item is 16gb micro sd = $18

      • 16GB for $18? that's not good

  • +5

can only be used for july promotion.. won't get any details on what items will be or the terms and conditions until july. prices aren't great either, looks dodgy.

    • +2

Yeah, that is the only downside, guess we're hoping their prices don't skyrocket in July. If they do, they'll surely lose a lot of non-voucher customers.

I thought their prices looked alright, can you find the SSD drive I posted for cheaper elsewhere?

      • +1

i didn't really go through the whole list but i suppose there are some good bargains. good if you are looking for those items i guess, but don't let the $50 voucher sway your decision too much

        • They were selling Trend Micro AV for $40 delivered, now $59 + delivery making it $28.85 dearer in Brisbane. DS were selling the same model Samsung monitor for $38 less.

Bought both of those deals. Rather have the money in my pocket than discount off mystery deals I may not want.

Voucher only valid for July PROMOTION, details for which will not be available until July. Too shonky for my liking.

    • As mentioned above by Gav, buyer beware.

There is no guarantee this is a bargain due to this, have a neg SE.

      • +2

If you are planning on buying something here, it's not much of a gamble. Think of it as a bonus.

    • Not a bad gamble, considering you can get a $50 voucher by purchasing something very cheap now.

    • -1

It would be okay if I can just buy something $5 and get the voucher… what's the minimum amount needed to spend anyway?

      • No minimum.

        • There is a minimum as needs to be from EOFY Sale. Cheapest item is $18 + delivery to get $50 voucher.

  • +5

How thickly veiled do they want this deal to be?

  • what is the cheapest deal on there?

  • I bet there will be a min spend to get this $50 voucher to work!

    • No minimum spend.

      • How do you know? Where are the details of the July promotion?

        • +1

Ahhh, nevermind, I misinterpreted the question. Yeah, that's a good point, if they make a $100 min spend to use the voucher that'd suck. So yeah, might be a bargain / might not be.

I wouldn't buy anything unless you want the item anyway at their price.

  • Is the voucher given right away or do we have to wait a while to get it?

    • You wait till July.

If it's too good to be true, it usually is. Think about it, spend $0.01 and get a $50 voucher. That voucher is going to be so limited no one will use it. Shopping express are not going to give away $200 000 for nothing.

    • -1

Is there something on their for $0.01

"Shopping express are not going to give away $200 000 for nothing" - They're not getting nothing:
      * They're clearing stock / making sales.
      * Possibly making registering new users or tempting old ones to return.
      * Generating traffic for their site.
      * Potentially bringing customers back with a voucher.

      • Well let's see how it turns out in July.

      • Is there something on their for $0.01

No. Which sale are you looking at. T&C state purchase must be from EOFY Sale. Cheapest is $18 memory card + delivery.

i'm going to neg the deal and not you OP, i see it could be a good deal for some and there may be a few decent bargains around and thanks for posting it up but i'm against this kind of seller self-promotion in general where no real bargain is offered and seemingly fantastic discount and vouchers are shrouded by over-complex and vague terms and conditions

Always read fine prints carefully before being tempted!

Buy the trend micro antivirus, claim $50 cashback, get voucher, buy again, claim cash back, profit?

    • +2

That's only if the trend micro is part of the july promotion and still under $50.

  • first buy 59 + 14.15 = 73.15
    minus cashback 73.15 - 50 = 20.15

    second buy 59 + 14.15 - 50 = 23.15
    minus cashback 23.15 - 50 = -26.85

so after 2 purchases, you get 26.85$ surplus. This is assuming that the TM cashback is still active in july and SE still sells this product.

    • And if any stock left & listed in July Promo!

They were selling those at $40 delivered, now $68.85 (to Brissie), or free with a 2TB HDD.

      TM Cashback ends 31 July.

  • Too much vagueness about this one. Not a bargain, sorry.

  • I'm thinking of getting a "Samsung SSD 840 Series 120GB 530MB/130MB MZ-7TD120BW".
    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/samsung-ssd-840-series…

Anyone able to convince me out of it?
Is it worth the chance for the coupon or is it worth it in general?

    • +1

I bought one, I think it's worth it in general. Good price, great product - whatever the coupon brings is a bonus.

  • Me thinks July promotion items will be heavily marked up. Don't be a sucker ignore this "deal".

    • I consider premise based on the vague details. But would they really mark there products up $50?

      • No need to markup next sale that much as current sale seems already marked up…
As for markup on this sale, I posted that I bought Trend Micro AV ($50 Cashback) from them recently for $40 delivered, now $59 + delivery making it $28.85 more expensive delivered to Brisbane. If they marked up the next sale items by $12 plus delivery, there goes the $50!

  • I'm annoyed with these guys. Last time their advertised free shipping wasn't for the USB stick.
Meaning shipping was more then the item. So $50 of funny money is worthless.

  • The cheapest item to obtain the $50 voucher is the Asus Slim EeePC Laptop Bag which costs $4.95 but comes out to be $13.70 after shipping.

    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/asus-slim-eeepc-laptop…

  • Has anyone got there coupon yet?

  • +1

Got the coupon, the code is TAX_BACK

Anyone else get the same code?

    • Same

      • I wonder if someone who didn't purchase an EOFYS item could use this code in the July Promotion.

We'll just have to wait and see.

        • I just checked & it doesn't work (says only valid for specific customers)

        • I see, I really want to use this, but I want to save around 80%-90% on an item. Not 5%

  • Its July, there's been at least 3 sales so far and yet not one where I could use the code!

  • Yes. It's July and still I haven't received the voucher :( and just raised a ticket.

  • I just got an email with further details. The voucher can be used on Sony laptops/tablets and STM bags. Different items will be available in 2 days.

    • I'm hoping to get a San disk Extreme 64GB USB drive.
