20% MicroSoft cashback on all XBOX 360 accessories. Starts 16 March, ends 16 May

450

From 16 March Micro$oft is offering 20% cashback on all XBOX 360 accessories bought at authorised resellers.

If you have just bought a new 360 from EB Games and traded Halo Wars, wait until the 16th of March before buying extra controllers etc.
If you got an Arcade, wait before buying a hard disk.

Web site for details and claim forms will be www.xbox.com.au/cashback

However it won't be operating until 16 March.

Similar to MicroSoft PC hardware cashbacks, the cashback amount is 20% of the RRP of the product. Therefore if you get a good deal from your retailer when you buy the accessory, you will save more than 20%.

Cheers to ADSL from Whirlpool for the heads up on this one…

  • Link doesn't work..

But I saw the Whirlpool post this morning too.

    • Note my comment that the link won't work until 16 March….

This is legit, call Microsoft's support line if you want to confirm…

      • Yeah, I believe it's legit.. based on the Whirlpool thread's confidence in the source.
And I did read that it doesn't start till the 16th, but I didn't pick up that the link would be dead till the 16th (cause it doesn't say that in the post).. might want to clarify that.

  • Yeah!! Time to buy the wireless adaptor, a few controllers and the charge and play packs…

Even though the link doesn't work - its a legit deal (my microsoft contacts have confirmed and see whirlpool for further details).

    • know where to find the cheapest wireless adapter by any chance? HN listing $145 :(

      • Don't waste your $$$. Get a cheap Linksys router for $50, put DD-WRT firmware on it and use it as a wireless bridge! You can even plug more devices into it to make them wireless as it has a 4 port switch on the back.

        • Agreed.. cheaper (even with the discount) and better..

  • +1

You should change the title to have the real word Microsoft and not have "Micro$oft" because if someone searches for it in the search bar it wont return this deal and we could end up with double posts..

do u think microsoft points would quality for the 20%?? good deal eitheway

    • I doubt it.. but it's worth waiting for to find out…

    • MS points are not accessories. So no.

    • Maybe, if you go to the offical australian xbox site, click on accessories (http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/hardware/accessories101.htm)
you will see at the bottom a link "View All Accessories", and there you will find microsoft points cards.

    • Does it matter if you buy the accessories online or do you have to buy from a b&m store?
