Salesburg: I am looking for a laptop cooler for a macbook pro 15". Most of the heat is generated along the top edge (near the hinge) of the laptop. I am looking for the most powerful cooler available - is there a particular model you recommend?
Hi, most laptop cooler (all in our stock at least) uses USB port for power. Which means that it is limited to how much power it can draw, which in return translates to how much air it can move.
In your case as you mention, you can benefit from alternative positioning of fans. For example the Deepcool Multi Core X4 has four fans. All 4 can be used or top pair or bottom pair.

Idea is that perhaps it will not be a typhoon at the center of the laptop but air flow near nearer to the effected area. Alternatively you can also go for something like the Thermaltake Massive 23LX which uses a large 23cm fan although at the center.
