50% off ALL Oral-B Products @ Woolworths (ie Pro500 for $19.95 after $30 Cashback RRP: $99.95)

1270

On page 21 of this weeks catalogue, Woolworths is advertising 50% off all Oral-B products. Many seem to be available online too here although prices may vary.

Looks similar to last year's deal so this one will be repeated:

Professional Care 500 Electric toothbrush for $19.95 after $30 cashback (RRP: $99.95)

The Professional Care 500 is listed as SSP:$99.95 instore so has dropped to $49.97 instore and online here. Considering this cashback offer is still current, the price should come back to $19.95 after $30 cashback!

Additionally, all toothpaste, floss, manual brushes, and refill heads should also be half price!

Thanks for your post and pointing out the cash back offer. Sales however don't start till Wednesday but will be getting some for everyone in the family. Will go there with the cash back offer page as only some models are involved in the cash back.

    Cashback:
$50 for Triumph with Smartguide IQ5000, Triumph with Smartguide IQ5000 Dual Handle,
Professional Care 4000, Trizone 3000, Professional Care 3000, Professional Care 3000 Dual Handle

$30 for Professional Care 500, Trizone 500, Professional Care 1000, Pulsonic

    Cheers.

    • Sorry, "this week" was shorthand for "this grocery catalogue cycle week". I did have the validity period correct though

    • +1

The online store only has the Professional Care 500 listed for $107.45. It should be cheaper in store as the web prices are slightly higher. After a $30 cash back, it should be around $23 (50% off online price, less cash back).

      • +3

OzBargainers should only buy the 'professional' range anyway :)

        • +1

          Hahaha, it never gets old!

      • That's roughly what I worked out too, but will check this morning and update.

      • +2

The 500 is a lot better than the cheap range too imo. Spins faster and battery lasts a lot longer.

        • the cheap range meaning, vitality precision?

hard to find some info to make a comparison

  • +7

    Gotta love half price oral

    • -2

Don't know about you but i prefer free oral

      • +7

        Beggars can't be choosers.

        • -2

there used to be a girl at high school with the nickname "Oral B".

          Won't tell you why…

        • did she aspire to become a dentist? :P

        • +1

          Was she a 9 out of 10?

    • -6

Half price or free doesn't really matter. What matters is whether you get satisfaction after the oral.

  • +5

Yay, I needed a new toothbrush!

Any woolworths staff/family should also hold off until thursday to buy this (and/or other groceries) as there is a 10% staff sale for one day only if you have a discount card :)

    • +2

      Thanx, didn't know that.

    • Be careful… usually employees (of oral b but perhaps Woolies?) are excluded from these kind of promotions

      • I work for Woolworths and I've never been excluded from any kind of promotion from them when using my staff card. In fact every time the staff discount has stacked on top of any other discount I was receiving.

        • He is wondering if the cashback offef excludes employees of retailers.

        • my mate works at Woolworths and told me that yes.. they are excluded from cashback. same for staff at Shaver Shop etc.
not sure how they police it though

        • They can't police it.. go for the c/b!

    • Might be sold out by then unless you work at the store and have a way to take it off shelf a certain quantity for your mates.

  • Thanks OP!

    Terms and Conditions:

    9. Multiple claims are permitted, subject to the following: (a) each claim corresponds to a Participating Product (e.g. three (3) claims must
correspond to three (3) Participating Products (whether the Participating Products are identical or different); (b) the number of claims
per form must be clearly identified above and can be verified by a proof of purchase and in accordance with claim requirements; and
(c); maximum of five (5) claims in total per household is permitted.

Does that mean multiple items can be purchased in a single transaction and claimed in a single form, unlike last offer?

    • Could you explain why it's downvoted?

      • -4

OK - it's complicated, but here goes. My sister had a friend that used to go out with a cousin of the guy that owns the milk bar near where your dog-walker's aunty's step-brother's maths tutor lives. Ever since the bushfires of '82 he has been around at our place a lot.

Oh yeah, and we don't like your kind.

    • +1

I claimed 5 toothbrushes during the previous cashback promotion. What i was told after calIing the helpline. 1 form together with a copy of the receipt/tax invoice for each toothbrush, you can put all 5 forms and receipts together in 1 envelope. I am not sure if all 5 toothbrushes in 1 receipt is a problem but i dont think it is (if you are hoping to get gst from trs). The cashback prepaid credit cards will be in your mail box in about 1.5months. Remember, only 5 claims for one household (bad luck if you have 6 housemates and each wants 1). Not sure if t&c changed this time but best to call to find out.

      • good info. thanks!

      • Its a cheque not a prepaid card according to the cashback form

  • they do this again.

i havenot started to use the ones i bought last year.

  • sorry for sounding like a toothbrush noob - thanks to Ozbargain I am slowly learning all these things that can improve my quality of life (in this case teeth!) I am using the normal toothbrushes at the moment its annoying and expensive to replace them all the time. So if I get one of the electric tooth brush I just need to buy the refill and change the brush head… Is that right?? Is that cheaper than using the normal tooth brush?

    • +4

No normal toothbrush is significantly cheaper. I.e. you can buy a cheap normal toothbrush for under a dollar. Where as the cheapest refill is about $4.

They last the same length of time as a normal toothbrush.

However, an electric toothbrush gives you a much better clean IMO. Once you use one you won't want to go back. They are also better for your gums than a normal toothbrush as they provide a gentler clean.

So this is not really about absolute money saving, but more value for money.

    • +1

More importantly save you the pain and money for getting the teeth filled or removed if you don't brush them properly. Even with private health insurance will still cost you hundreds of dollars. Btw, you still need to floss your teeth even if you brush them properly.

  • +1

Thinking of getting a Professional Care 500, but not sure what the quality's like. The chargers die within a few months according to a lot of reviews…

    • But pc500 has 2 years warranty. Keep replacing it with new ones if they die within 2 years.

    • Chargers are usually ok, it's the battery capacity/power that isn't as great as it could be.

  • Definitely going to stock up my oral B refills and maybe get the Professional Care 500. It should be much better than my current model which I bought for around $30.

  • Professional Care 500 doesn't seem to be listed on the online store now

    • It's still there

  • just wondering whts the difference between the PC500 and the standard oralb electric toothbrush? all i can see is that the pc500 is thinner but the functions all look the same?

    • PC500 has what they call the '3D motion' where it moves front and back rather than just rotate.

  • +5

remember to use the $5 off if order online. [Motherme13]
If you can pick up from woolworths, no more fees. Also it has first order delivery free for new accounts.
just bought 4 Professional Care 500 online, end up with $15 each.

    • +1

is there a pick up option?

edit: I think is it free delivery? why? (for tooth brush and replacement brushes, $57.46) Score! please update post to this!

      • Always free delivery for first order

    • +1

how to eligible for free delivery? yes i created new account and then will the system recognise and apply automatically?

      • yes,
when you go to checkout it will remove the shipping fee if its your first order

    • I think Motherme13 will expire by the end of May.
Pickup option can be selected in the second step of checkout. (but not from all the local woolworths)

    • did you make 4 separate accounts to get $5 off each?

      • same account can use the code multiple times.

        • How do you use the code multiple times? Did you pick the pick up option and key it in each time?

        • Separate transactions?

  • Got one from Majura park, Canberra, they had only one other PC500 left in stock.

  • +3

Will the cashback promotion still be valid if we purchase PC500 online? Can't find anything on it in the T&C
Edit: Called them and confirmed it is valid

  • Shavershop has some sales on the higher end models, though they display it as half price when you include the cashback(so it's actually only 25% off).

  • are those heads refill really cheap on this deal 50% off? will you stock up many/?
anyone know if the trizone body can use normal round head?

  • Awesome :)
got free del as it was my first order with WOW online
and the $5 code above brought it down to $44.79

    Nice :)
    Delivered tomorrow 8am-noon

All my local stores had none in stock so this was quite handy

      • 1 and thanks for the head's up on the online ordering. First time I've done it, and I'm pleasantly surprised. Now to play the waiting game (or Hungry Hungry Hippos) until it turns up!
    • I got the free delivery too :), Just curious though, what happens if you miss the delivery

    • welp, i got burned so badly from using the online system for the first time.

tues day night - plenty of vitality and a few pcare 500 in my local store

wed noon - decided to order online, thinking i outsmarted the deal by saving $5

thurs morn - woolworths does a cold call saying my order is refunded, no stock, no ability to check which store have stock, no advice on new stock, won't hold order.

by then I knew I lost, went to local store and all gone.

how could woolworths have a weekly sale when there's no more stock within 24 hours…

I guess my luck just sucks at OZB.

      • Mine arrived the following day.

  • Anyone know which replacement head is for Professional Care 500?

  • Anyone know what is the receipt number in the cashback form?

    • at the bottom, Store xxxx POS xxx Trans xxxx xxxx

  • doh, one item already on my cart but dissapear when im about to checking out.

    • I suspect online may have sold out

  • Just noticed Kogan has compatible heads on sale $9 for pack of 8, free delivery, delivery 17 June. I have NO idea about the quality but at that price probably worth a try.

    • ebay is cheaper, them $6 for 12 ones work a treat!

  • Got 5. All on eBay for $99.

    Thanks Broden!

    • Joe King
  • 'cash back will be provided via cheque within 60 working days of receiving claim'.

Just as the Chaser boys said recently on The Checkout, there is NO reason that cashbacks take SO LONG or are sent out in CHEQUE form. Pathetic attempt to minimise claims.

    • My other half bought the same one a while back, her cash back arrived about 10 days after she sent the claim. Its "up to 60 days" but I think it depends on how many claims they get at a time.

  • Thanks Ops, just picked up enough refills to last us for next 6 months

    • 6 months isn't much, thats on average 2 heads, you sure it's not 6 years?

  • The vitality seems to get better review than the professional clean toothbrush… now I am torn!

    • +1

they are both using the same heads but professional has longer lasting battery (so I read)

      • How long do the brush heads last? ie how many refills should I be gettiing lol. And before I go too crazy on the refill, can I please confirm that the precision clean value pack 5 is compatible with the professional care 5000 toothbrush?

        • +1

should be the same as normal toothbrush i.e 3 mths on twice a day

there are indicators on the oral-b brushheads (the fake ones from ebay don't work)

        • +1

Yes, assuming you mean 500, it's on the OralB website if you want to check for yourself.

          Brush heads
Compatible with all brush heads (except Sonic).

  • Thanks. I ordered 2 online for $84.94 delivered. I had a $15 off + free delivery coupon in my Everyday reward junk mail.

  • no more electric toothbrushes online?

  • North strathfield woolies had 5+ pc500 today at 3.20pm.

  • picked up a PC5000 for $49.94 (scans as the 500 @ Woolworths- the 5000 doesn't exist on the system I was told). Spoke to BRAUN and was told $30 cash back would be honored (of course, seeing as my receipt reads PC500). Also managed to rain-check a couple at the Plaza (TTP) as they are getting in a whole lot of PC5000's in less than a week (plenty of time 4 the cash-back offer).

  • Got pc500, thanks op. Now I just need some some teeth..

There's two different packs of precision clean replacement heads, a 3 pack for $12.99 and a 2+1 EXTRA pack for $9.99

  • I bought what appeare dto be the last two PC500 at Woolies Cottesloe Central WA just now.

  • Great find. Thanks Op!

  • Not really a good buy for the replacement heads. Chemist warehouse selling 4+2 precision clean replacement head for $19.99. That work out to be $3.33 EA.
    http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/product.asp?id=67048&pnam…

Of course, ebay offers even cheaper for like $1+ EA. :)

    • Are eBay ones genuine?

      • regret buying from wollies, even after 50% off, ebay still cheaper and i think this is genuine
        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8-x-Oral-Flexisoft-toothbrush-hea…

        • Pretty sure you can take them back with the receipt and ask for refund.

        • Fakes on eBay look real but aren't , they're loose and occasionally you jab your gums with the metal bit when the refil slips off.

      • very high chance of fakes, and bristle quality is important

you wouldn't pick a fake oral b normal brush at the local store, the brush head will be no different.

    • -1

Woolies have 5 pack for $19.99 (after 50% discount), which is $2 each.
      Just got one today.

      • how did you get 2 when 20/5 = 4

        • Sorry, my bad.
Been working too hard today so my brain was boiling.
Yes, it is $4 a piece. Still better than a 3 pack for ~$13.50.

    • I found similar value replacement heads at woollies. Buy 2 get 1 free pack for $9.99.

  • Got the last one at Ermington, cheers

Anyone else going to use registered mail to send in the form, or is that overkill?

    • I used registered post! i have heard few people complain on here saying oral b did not send them their cashback because oral b claimed they didnt receive the form

  • Thanks very much for sharing, this was great - $15 for a $110 toothbrush, and cartridges at half price! :)

  • Which one's are the replacement heads for Professional Care 500 on woolies website ??? Help please i am bit confused
