They're clearing it out because hardly any one who buys new video equipment uses component video any more. It's all HDMI now.
Somehow I think it's moreso because there's a Scart connector on the other end of the cable..
My Amiga 500 monitor used SCART. That was the first and last time I needed a SCART cable.
