  Further reading seems to suggest that each light only shows up on one side of the wheel; keep that in mind.

  I'm on the lookout for some new bike lights but would prefer the USB charged ones.

    http://revolights.com/ do USB but they don't do crazy patterns and have limited wheel size compatibility.

    During the day the mounting of these on the spokes is too visible and too much of a "what's that?"-type of attraction, which I don't like. But so are the ones in this deal ;)

  alternative: leedus wheelus ~$50 delivered though runs on a single aaa/aa and is programmable via usb for your own graphics

    Nice. But if I'm not mistaken the battery is exposed to water in their models.

    At the end of that video it still says the unit likes to be dry…

    I also found Anvii from Taiwan, but they are relatively expensive for the same features (but you do get 3x sets of lights for each wheel (and more LEDs) and they are also programmable on the PC and everything is covered.
