      $249 with digital radio and why with AM = fail? If with AM only = fail I think is more reasonable.

      How about THX? With your concept so No THX = fail?

      You just didn't look at the price tab.

      i don't know any av receiver that has internal digital radio. Other than the few that use an external addon module. Besides there are still people who don't live in capital cities where digital is only available at the moment.

  I think this one is better than the Pioneer VSX-522: Sherwood RD7505 7.1 Channel AV Surround Receiver $274.40 from JB. It has DTS-HD and 7.1 or 2 zone setup.

  This JBHIFI 30% off Sherwood starts with an inflated price and ends with a price that is still expensive. A quick google search reveals the same receiver for $179 without 30% off.

    Had a Pioneer for a week… failed bad time, returned it and got my $ back. Got the Sherwood 7.1 and happy.
