Tonester - I think you have posted on this place before. I am into food and come over to Melbourne a couple times a year. Would this be a destination shop (one I'd make a special trip for)? Thanks
Leo's is a hybrid of normal groceries and imported (higher end and boutique) goods. If going to a supermarket is usually on your list of things to do then it is't a bad one.
Agree with the above. It's a good supermarket but nothing you can't get in gourmet supermarkets elsewhere in Australia. If you really want to sample cheese on a trip over to Melbourne go to Vic Market or better yet a day in Yarra Valley or Mornington and you'll be sick of cheese.
Yes, I usually go to both the Vic and SM markets and sometimes some others. I'm just always on the hunt for new stuff.
Try Prahran market too next time.
Yes, that is one of the others. I love Melbourne. Thanks jv.
I only go to Leo's for their orange juice.
Is it as sweet as you, jv?
a bit pithy…
