      Yes even the non 3g is on the expensive side. Give them a couple of months Android devices seem to come down pretty quickly, I suspect the Note 8 will probably be no different.

    I must say, why not buy a Nexus 10 then?

      The Nexus 10 is a 10" device, the Note 8 is a 8" device. No point comparing the two really.

      I guess the closest in screen size would be an IPAD mini which has a 7.9" screen.

      The Note 8 has a better screen, and has mini SD slot going for it above the IPAD mini.

        iPad mini uses IPS panel, while Samsung Note 8.0 from their official site claim to be a TFT… yes higher res, but is it better?

    Did anyone realise that this is a 3G version that you can make phone calls with? I have no idea how much the 3G models are sold in Australia so I'm not upvoting or downvoting this.

      Only wifi model available through Australian channels thus far. Roughly $450 for the 16G seems to be the going price through aussie retailers.

      The 3G models are all parallel import I believe, this deal is the cheapest delivered 3G parallel import model I have seen to date.
