    Hi Jack. Just got two questions:
    (1) I know that's a generic picture, but does this model not have a firewire port?
    (2) Does the laptop carry the 'Horize' logo? If so, is there an option to not include any?

      1. Yes this does contain IEEE 1394 port.
      2. Yse it does have the Horize logo (new type) on the rear of the notebook only. No you cannot avoid this. It is a nice logo and much smaller than the old type.

    Can you give any details regarding the differences between the WiFi Cards. Only interested in a Bluetooth one.
    Just tring to figre out what the extra $49 gets me with the 6235?

      Sure thing,

      Basically the Intel card is a higher performing card with extended range but most importantly it has a few key features that compatible wireless hardware can work with. For example WiDi.

    There's a thread on whirlpool where someone says the graphics card (670M) is very noisy. How true is that, and what's the noise of the 670MX like?

      Hi, no more noisy than any other card available. They all operate much the same.

      I wouldn't say that it is noisy much.

      If you are using the Intel UMA graphics this notebook is dead silent. It is only when you are ramping up graphics to full like gaming where you will hear the fans. Still then I would say it is average for a gaming notbeook.

      If you are just watching a movie or something make sure it is using the Intel graphics (switchable via nVidia control panel) and you won't hear a thing.

      I use an SSD and as a consequence, I turn off my page file to prevent wear and tear on my SSD.
      Sometimes I find 8Gb insufficient if I'm doing work and then decide to play a game in my break without closing anything down.
      Besides, if you think 8GB was enough, you could always choose the downgrade option and save $49
